I restored a few Bonnville's in my day, and I gotta say, THAT was FUNNY.

Still no answers on why they leak though....the mystery continues, the oil stains remain. :mellow:

Tha's all good, pre AMF Harley's leaked as much. It was just a different blend of material in England that made up the gaskets that was reactive to corrosive qualities on the natural cork of those gaskets. Modern RTV cured most of that....most of it. If I could only get those dang points set.....

It's a labor of love, like children -_-

I did enjoy that - being an Adventurer owner, I don't have the leaks, but have that unique sound (you know, all the gears and bearing just rolling in there?). I love my Triumph - I get more looks than your standard HDs.
