Thanks for the wonderful review on IWC watches!

I'm currently try to get a IWC 3717 modded. May I ask what the reason for the following is?

"It is available with the new high-beat asian 7750, as well as with the slow 21.000bph asian movement. Last one is preferable if you want to swap it to a gen ETA 7750. "

Does it mean the v1 IWC 3717 is preferable for installing gen ETA 7750? If so, why is that?

Thanks!

Gret review, have one question regarding IWC Portoguse.

It was written (back in 2007) that

"bad chrono-module which may kill the movement after some time."

Now on some shops for this watch i see note "improved 7750 29j 28800BPH SWEEPING HAND". Does that fix the issue mentioned on 2007?

or better just to stick with quartz? :)

Sorry for double post, but already did some reading and found out that additional jewels does not solve the problem, so it needs either a gear mod or constant service. So i think better to stick with quartz.

This is my favourite watch at the moment. Note that the replica does not come with the correct datewheel and AR. So you need to upgrade it yourself.
Read my own review here.
Check also out the pictorial of Pizzanooos fully modded Ingy, or Eunomians Ingenieur Pictoral Review. Pix has managed to create a very nice "Tribute Pictorial" which this watch really deserves.
Finally we got the ultimate comparison from Andy between his modded replica and his BEAUTIFUL genuine. Read it here.

Why are all the links broken? Every link takes me to the "Member List". Can this be fixed please?

Hi Gents,

does anyone knows if the (in)famous problem with the a7750 with secs @6 has been FINALLY resolved (possibily with the number of gears reduced from 5 to 3 and running on jewels, to move the subdial movement in such position)?

Thanks, GenTLe

Looking for the same answer as above. Wanting a Portuguese, but I'm worried about the time bomb as I need a daily. I don't mind quartz, but would prefer the better of the two looks wise.

Toro was very responsive to my emails, but he has an a7750 movement in his.
