This will be the last chance to get these movements and they are not cheap.

The price will be $375 including paypal and shipping charges.

As you may or may not know the price of the ETA 7750 movements have gone up dramatically as there isnt enough to meet demand.

I can only get 20 more movements and thats IT, NO MORE.

If interested please PM me

Thanks

Hand size info as originally posted by The Zigmeister:

Genuine ETA 7750 all variants (all)

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.25mm

Subdials 0.17mm

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Old Asian 7750 version all variants(21,600 BPH)

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.25mm

Subdials 0.17mm

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Asian 7750 (28,800 BPH) Normal ones - NOT the Daytona model

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.20mm

Subdial 0.20mm

Also note on the New 7750, the center seconds post, is below the top of the minute hand tube. On all other versions of the 7750, the center seconds post is about 1mm above the minute hand tube, not below it. Therefore the center seconds hand on the new 7750's, has an extra long tube on it, to make up this height difference. So not only is the hand smaller in diameter, it's longer as well...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Asian 7750 Daytona model (28,800 BPH)

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.20mm

Subdial 0.17mm

NOTE that on the new Daytona model, the 9 and 3 subdials are above the center line of the movement, whereas the other 7750's are all in line with the center post. In other words, a Daytona has the subdial hands slightly higher than the 3 and 9 markers, but a 7750 has the subdial hands at 3 and 9 lined up with the markers.

Also note that the center seconds hand post is ABOVE the minute hand tube.

azerbyjam's post (by way of The Zigmeister) makes it appear as though a 28.8 kbph new asian non-daytona is NOT a candidate for swapping to a gen ETA movement due to the subdial hand hole size. You can broach smaller holes to fit larger ones, but I think you're stuck when the hands have hole size is larger than what is required for the gen ETA....

Well maybe there is a way of filling the subdial hands up a bit.. 0,03mm is not a lot so a drop of glue should work. It is the second hand that worries me. Definately worth a try though...

Has anyone managed to fit the Swiss 7750 in the IWC 3717?

Yea, I'd be curious to see how it looks with a drop of glue on the hands.

Like kingkitesurf, I would like to know if anyone has successfully transplanted the ETA inside a 3717 or Slevin or other non-Daytona 28.8kph based watch, and if so what they did about the sub dial hands.......

You need the correct hands in order to make it possible.

I have seen a few watches with hands glued..............................not a nice view.

I am trying to get the correct hands for the 3717

I wish I had the funds to get in on this- and would encourage anyone on the fence to jump on-board. Ah, the feel of winding an ETA 7750, there's nothing quite like it when all you're used to is the asian copy.

I've got an MBK AP ROO that completely warrants a swiss movement- but this is a bad time for me, $$ wise, as I'm sure it is for many post-christmas.

You mean hands like this

CIMG2553.jpg

I have tried to fit them and all hands fit except the chrono seconds hand but it can be broached easily.

Asian size is 0.20mm ETA is 0.25mm

Ill try and get more if there is enough interest
