Movement Swapped On My Mbw 16610

Recommended Posts

Hello,

after i fluted my mbw Sub with water ( the washer was damaged)

I replaced the movement with a new Eta 2824-2.

It was a easy swap.

The movement fitted correctly...

The dateoverlay was a little bit misaligned so it was a matter to do it.

Here some pics of the result....

Well done. Great job. Just changed my MBW 1680 movement to a 2846 for a slower beat. Had to mess around with the datewheel at the same time as well.

:thumbsupsmileyanim: Glad to see there are folks out there doing the 2846's! I swap all of my vintage Sub/SD movements with these slow beaters... It makes for a huge difference!

I changed the datewheel at the same time to a more correct bold font version. The datewindow and date numbers didn't exactly line up so I had to take off the dial and refix in the exact position both vertically & horizontally. Not an easy task. And I messed about with it for 5 HOURS!!!!!!
