The simplest things seem like rocket science in Guangzhou. It's ridiculous no one's accomplished this yet. I know that it would be very difficult to achieve the effect of the polished ceramic bezel on the HBB without real ceramic. EuroTimez Posted February 10, 2008 Report Share Posted February 10, 2008 Can't wait to see the REP GMT2 comin out! But like ELPRIMEROZEN mentioned it is the Case that is the biggest issue. They need to make a whole new case first, a prototype. My theory behind it is that the first factory that will make it, will need to invest alot alot of money, prob first of getting a original or something (whtever they do when they copy stuff) then they need to make a prototype mold etc, then the straps which is already available (not sure if it fits tho) etc. So when they finally put in the huge investment etc, and start selling them. Then another factory will make a copy of the copy, without having to spend all the initial cost/investment. I not sure if this is true or not, but that's what I like to think, coz I think nobody wants to be the first to invest and go thru the whole process just to get copied by fellow chinese. I find it hard to believe the correct bezel insert you are describing hasn't been sourced by a single dealer or member. Does your friend have a camera, or can you snap some pics of this piece? Engraved rehaud, engraved bezel, cheap price and the fact that u are dealing with narikaa is making the whole thing really interesting... except onew thing :S ..... The watch is wrong! Engraved rehaud and bezel means that this is a rep of the new GMT's.... but the case of these new GMT's is supposed to be different.. Check out a pic of a gen and u will see.. it looks larger on top and botton where the bracelet is linked with the case.... WTH?? It is ROLEX GMT MASTER!!! Yes, but the case is the old classic one. The new case is thicker and larger, At this time all rep factories uses old classic cases and add a green gmt hand and a new bezel insert...
