Seadweller4000 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Dunno what to think of them, yet... "Father & Son", both made of platinum. "Father" "Son" The others are variations of the Big Pilot in different material (and with closed casebacks, except probably the "Bartorelli") "Bartorelli titane" "Sincere titane" "Rabat" "Tourneau" "Gassan"
Guest asad Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Nice! But i would stick with the Basic 5004.
Seadweller4000 Posted February 12, 2008 Author Report Posted February 12, 2008 Nice! But i would stick with the Basic 5004. Me too...
alant Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Looks like more on playing with the colors. Long way to go......our dear rep makers can't even get us our Mark XVI.....
FxrAndy Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 "Bartorelli titane" "Sincere titane" I like these two
Watchmeister Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Aha, the AP strategy. It is somewhat galling that they are making a series for Tourneau. Why not Zales?
chrgod Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Same-same, but different.... Nothing new under the sun. But thanks for the info!
HauteHippie Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Nice post, SD. None of them rock my world, but I do like the "Bartorelli titane".
takashi Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Damn.... That Sincere Titane is specially made for Sincere Watch store in Singapore. Sweet!! Gonna jack up the price by quite a lot.
yellomen Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Little correction... the "son" watch is made of steel, the "father" watch is made of platinum indeed
dluddy Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Aha, the AP strategy. It is somewhat galling that they are making a series for Tourneau. Why not Zales? Or Kay Jewlers.....Can just hear the Michael Bolton song now I actually think it is smart marketing. I prefer the orange dial over a BR
Victoria Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 "Father & Son", both made of platinum. Looks like the St. Exupery. Only not as nice. And the name -- Father and Son? Sounds like it should've been a DH Lawrence edition. "Bartorelli titane" Clearly, the best of these new watches. Titanium gives it a stealth look. "Sincere titane" Guys, I know from the replies this is popular with you, but this is AWFUL. Yes, better than the B&R, I agree, but it ruins the elegance of the Big Pilot... "Rabat" Rabat? For the King of Morocco, no doubt. The gold on black is garish enough. "Tourneau" This cannot BE a Tourneau caseback. It doesn't have a snobby attitude when I come in. "Gassan" My favourite. Which isn't saying much.

Nebakanezzar Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 ugh! why take a PERFECT watch and bastardize it?
Seadweller4000 Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 ugh! why take a PERFECT watch and bastardize it? Lots of money I guess?
takashi Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Sincere Titane = 20000USD. More Singaporeans are helping to jack up the price... weak US dollar.
takashi Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 These computer generated pictures may look deceptive. Sometimes watch is much better in real life
Seadweller4000 Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 These computer generated pictures may look deceptive. Sometimes watch is much better in real life Agreed. Even on this pictures, the "Father & Son" combo looks different. The Sincere ti already starts to grow on me, though. I'd like to have a 5002 or 5004 first anyway. There are rumours (on rwi) they have already started repping them but still searching for a fitting movement.

Dani Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 "Bartorelli titane OMG what a beauty. That is on my list.
iceberg1459 Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Sincere titane is soo awesome, black and yellow combination is just like....just feeling like driving my porsche at highspeed in a quality-highway while hearing loud electro-house....
paneristi_man Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Hi, Has anyone pulled the trigger on the Bartorelli ; link here : http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=1318 Just curious on how accurate it is if you have it. I"m thinking of getting it but not sure of the accuracy. Are there big flaws or just minor ones? Please comment.
