Finepics
Serious piece of watch though - worth it I guess (if you have the dough)
chris5264
Very nice,,,,, Today I engaged in the act of a truely desperate man, I bought a lottery ticket. If I win, that will be my first purchase.
sevomd
Definitely worth it. You also get all the dials. I'd only want the watch though and sell off the depth and compass. I don't know if I could wear it though. Might just keep it in a vault and wear my WM. Eddy
trustywatchguy
These are really RARE gems hard to come by... If I had the money, I would keep them and sell them off 10 years later.. at least 50% extra profits... Vintage is not only style but value too... =) ANDREW
Willith
This is like the 3rd one of these I have seen for sale in the past few months. They all go for HUGE amounts of money. They are nice, but I don't know if they are that nice. I don't have that kind of disposable income though.
thealphabeta
This is true i guess, its more an investment than a sweeping purchase. I have nearly enough to buy it.....pshhhhh i wish!
Watchmeister
Fabulous item. IMHO, overpriced relative to other sets sold. At that price or substantially less you would expect all pieces to be in the original box and to have the original movement in the watch. My read on the description is that the person has assembled these items over time and the movement in the watch may or may not be original. Compass and depth guage usually sell for 4,000-6,000 each depending on age and condition. The watch alone regularly sells for $20,000 or so. All in around $30,000. Matched set in box - $60,00-80,000. I have only seen two or three sell at auction though. Of course the extra dials are worth quite a bit too. Having said all that, if I had $80,000 hanging around I would be dying to buy it. sevomd
... if I had $80,000 hanging around I would be dying to buy it. Thats the value for my life insurance! I think if I kill myself right on time before the auction ends I may ask my wife to buy it...

thomasng
$87,500 for that set..... I wouldn't buy it half-price to be honest, since I don't understand the appeal of that watch. Sorry.

Willith
Recently I've seen one of these watches alone go for $55K and another go for $75K, so they are very rare to find, but no matter I don't have that much cash and I don't want it that bad. ubiquitous
Prices for the 3646 are coming up close to 6 figure territory... So, for a Trittico collection, it's a fair price. But factor in the extra dials, and it's quite a nice 'wow' package...
