Generally, I think setting 9:10 is much better way to show the whole dial in many watches (prevent it from blocking anything). Especially Rolexes. Especially Rolexes.\ To balance the pic. the time is generally shown at 10.09 , date at 12. This is for aesthetic balance. i.e. the pic. to compliment the subject, or vice versa.
