Tag Carrera Racing with Gen Tag Rubber Strap

I was unable to find any information on weather a gen TAG Heuer Carrera rubber strap would fit the rep, so... I took the plundge and ordered one.

It works great! The strap fits the case perfectly, using the existing spring bars, and the rep clasp fits the gen strap perfectly. It looks great and is much more comfortable than the rep strap. The gen strap is much more pliable than the rep strap and conforms better to the wrist.

Great watch man, it was my first rep, but I sold it because of rep rubber strap - I have a small wrist, and it really doesn't look good on small wrist because it is so stiff.

Where did you get it, and how much did you pay for it ?

regards

The bay. I bought it from chronoswissprince for $120, shipped. I had it verified gen by my local AD.

It is far superior to the rep strap! I have a small wrist as well, and it fits and looks much better. It is very soft rubber and slightly textured compared to the rep rubber strap that is very stiff and doesn't conform as well to the wrist.

Hello 2003Mach1, may I ask you where did you buy this replica watch? I'm from Brazil and I'm willing to buy one but just don't know who to trust in the replica market.

Thank you very much

Fernando

Thanks for asking! These forums always have a list of "trusted" dealers. I general post on RG and I am more familiar with it. The Carrera came from Joshua at Perfect Clones, www.pc-80108.com. He is a great dealer. I have bought a few watches from him and he always provides great service and support. Check out his site and others in the Watch Collectors Gallery.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I am always glad to help.

mach I asked chronoswiss on ebay if he had the same band available as I got the same watch you did and he quoted 300.00 including shipping. I hope I find the same deal you did. I would be all over it

Here is a post from him that has already ended, just to give you an idea.

You just have to catch him when he has them. Another member at RG grabbed one at the same price as mine. Just keep an eye on his ebay store and send him a message when you see a listing for them. I will email him and let you know his response. He seems like a great guy to deal with.

Good Luck!

I received an email from Rob (chronoswissprince on ebay) and he has the straps on order. He said he should have them in 2-6 weeks. If anyone wants one he said to email him and he will put your name on the list.

PM me and I will give you the details.

Also note, I have no affiliation with Rob/Chronoswissprince just passing on good information.

Hi - I just bought a Carrera Tag Racing as well - a superb Rep, but as you've all said, the Rubber strap is stiff & does not hug the wrist well where the strap meets the pins on the watch, so I think I'll also be buying a Gen Rubber & a Gen Leather!

Great Rep watch though.

I just won a Breitling deployant from Chronoswissprince.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=380033413418

Auction states US Postal Service Priority Mail with insurance to 12901 at $8.50, but his invoice states $48.80 for US Postal Service Priority Mail, and insurance is another $5.70!

I sent him an email asking what's up with it, we'll see how he responds.

I am sorry to hear that some people are having problems with their transactions with Rob. My transaction with Rob was very smooth. I did not have any problems at all. But, if people continue to have problems I am going to stop recommending him.

I look forward to hearing to outcome of this one.

Well, Rob is a scammer. I won an auction back in the beginning of June, and he strung me along for 3 months saying they are back-ordered. Then I find out he's been selling my same strap to others for more money! I would have waited longer if I hadn't seen that he was continuing to sell them to others. I got a good price at auction, so his first sent invoice was TWICE what I actually owed him. That's a LOT of padding, folks.

Total scammer. I think he was just being stubborn and not sending me my strap because he knew he could get more money by selling for a better price to others.

Then he sent me a tracking number that PROVES that the Post office didn't even get the package into their system.

Don't buy from Chronoswissprince.

ps. Yes, I was always polite, patient, and resonable with him.
