coolfire Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Congrats Pix! So, how do you think it is plated? It'll be great if it IS PVD'd.... Wear yours in great health!!!
Mickey Padge Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Nice one Pix, I look forward to a more in depth review
Guest Sql_pl Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Silix version is wrong - look at subdial numbers and Hublot writing all over the dial - it is gold and should be white.
Pix Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 @Coolfire : I have no clue what it can be. Is there a trick to recognize the thing ? I agree that PVD would be a good option, as it seems it lasts longer.
dvn Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 The box set is available from Joshua (no pricing yet): http://www.pc-80108.com/hba10001-original-...ers-p-4490.html
Pix Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Great news ! The marking look so so, or is it me ? I'd love a house for my HBB
jot9011 Posted May 1, 2008 Author Report Posted May 1, 2008 One thing I am curious about. How does the CF dial grain markings compare to the lite version?. Some have said that the grain is not the same on the second factory watch, giving the dial a sort of checkerboard effect, when compared to the watch produced by the first factory.
dvn Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 sillix comfirmed that his version has screw-down crown.

Some have said that the grain is not the same on the second factory watch, giving the dial a sort of checkerboard effect, when compared to the watch produced by the first factory. The pattern of the lite version is deeper. Actually the comparison I did yesterday includes a (not anymore) lite version (the SS one). But this is only visible on macro shots. V2 V1
slay Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 (edited) honestly, i think the V1 CF dial looks "cheaper" and more fake than the V2 dial. But the V1 seems to be more like the gen (so i have been told, never really looked at the gen). And please keep in mind, that those images on the Hublot website are technical drawings, they do not represent the real watch in any detailed way. The dateweheels on watchmarks is also wrong, it has way too thick datefont. I'm wondering if its possible to use the datewheel of a 28.8k lite Hublot on a 21.1k movement? edit: if anyone cares, heres some macroshots of the hbb rg/ceramic (the real deal) http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/..._tan/HBB_11.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/...y_tan/HBB_2.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/..._tan/HBB_12.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/..._tan/HBB_17.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/..._tan/HBB_20.jpg http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/..._tan/HBB_10.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/...y_tan/HBB_8.JPG http://hublot.com/hublot_prod/site/hublot/...y_tan/HBB_9.JPG Edited May 2, 2008 by slay
