That sounds marvelous, I guess one could spent a whole afternoon browsing the watches. As somebody who comes from a tiny village (Ottawa, Canada), I can't even begin to imagine the scope of some major retailers like this. When you go on, do employees sort of walk you through what you want to see or is the store divided into manufacturer blocks with each section containing its own individual expert to help you make your pick? If it is the former, then I imagine people who work there must be extremely well trained to know the details of so many pieces.

Levinsons is great, and so is the Aventura mall Tourneou (sp?) That last one gets crowded at times and you can seriously walk in with a $30 dollar Rolex and no one would notice.much less care.

Yes please update on that watch exhibition!

So what is the 411 on the Aventura Exhibition?

Sorry, i just read this thread now, but the watch fair WAS at King's Jewelers on US-1 in Aventura over Father's Day weekend (makes sense, right?). Like Levinsons, they are a high-end watch dealer. Aventura's a good place for watches, with Torneau, Mayor's, King's down the street, and the International Jewelry Exchange also down the street on US-1. At the exchange, you can find Hublot, Ulyssis Nardin, Paneri, Corum, tons of Rolex.

Still, the best watch store I've ever been to is Torneau in Las Vegas. It is a split level store that is literally 20 times bigger than the one in Aventura (it's the self-proclaimed biggest watch store in the world). Vegas in general is watch paradise. That's where I saw my first Glashutte and many other exquisite watches I've not seen anywhere else.

I will be in Hollywood FL for a convention from July 23rd through Saturday.

It would be cool if you guys had a Get Together right about that time... so I could get out of some business and go have some fun!

Please????? :) :)

remind me that week - we can get together, maybe you could check with kruzer to see if he is in town - let me guess - the diplomat? its pretty sweet hotel if you haven't been there before

Currently 3 weeks removed from a 1 week ""vacation"" with a 5 & 7 year old at Disney... OMG!!! Yes... they call it a "Vacation" lol..

I had to take a business trip to recover from my ""vacation""

Sounds like a plan, it would be a pleasure to meet up.

Been there last month, and yup, amazing place! It's heaven for us who love watches. I got out of there with brochures and catalogs of PAM, Breitling, IWC, Montblanc, Rolex and Chopard. The lady at the IWC booth even give me two new IWC Magazines! She was sweet and with some kind of European accent! The Panerai booth didn't have a lot of models (watches, Lani, Watches!!!), though!

What was strange to visit was the Ferrari Store at the Wynn's Casino, you won't find any Panerai made Ferrari watches out there!

Wierd!

ok all of you south floridians, give me a location of a rep friendly watch repairman in either broward or dade county. please!

I use a watchsmith in the International Jewelry Exchange on US-1 in Aventura. If you go, he's got a booth in the back of the exhange. Seems like many of the vendors utilize him also. He recently repaired and overhauled my wife's day-date. There is also a place called Studio 52 on the 1700 block of 163rd Street in North Miami Beach who was listed in prior posts as rep-friendly.
