My Old Case 196 with K2222 Double AR

Just got my 196 back from Kuba with his new double AR on it.

Wow, it looks amazing, notihng comes close, for sure.

I know that gen 196 is only single side coated but I just love the way a double AR looks.

Dani, this is one of the very first 196 Daylights ever released - there were no mods done apart from the double AR.

It is an old case version, a lot more correct that what is being sold now.

It is quite funny actually that reps from an early 2005 are better than ones from 2008.

Dani it is a slow beat asian 7750 but running strong for 3 years already without a problem so I am not realy thinking about a swiss 7750 for it.

Would be great to fit a 7753 but the date positioning is different on a dial then so it would also require a 7753 dial which is virtually impossible to obtain - at least the correct printed and finished one from the early 7753 versions - current 7753's have quite bad both case and dial so even the dial would be of no use for me.

DW's on these are actually quite good with good font etc so I would not really bother.

I may change the crown at some point and that would be it.

I too love double ar on Pams. I know it's inaccurate but it looks so good. Nice looking piece.

My gen 176 gets less wrist time now because of the reflections on the crystal.

I have considered more times than not getting a spare gen crystal and double coating it.
