By-Tor Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 LOL! Hey guys, you can use tinyurl.com to link long Ebay links here (and other forums). I edited the initial post.
JoJo35 Posted May 20, 2008 Author Report Posted May 20, 2008 $6150 (so far) for a beat up looking dial
By-Tor Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I wonder who can be that stupid. Red 1680's have been increasing in value, but bidding $6K for that dial is laughable. Smells fish.
stilty Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I wonder who can be that stupid. Red 1680's have been increasing in value, but bidding $6K for that dial is laughable. Smells fish. For this insanity... this is probably the best response: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=453761 Whoever that is bidding on this dial, may have a complete Red with a damaged dial. Replacing the dial could bring up the value much more than the $6K for the dial alone.
llsteve80 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Sometimes I see this guy's stuff selling for top dollar. He's the one that had the 1680 caseback go for a few thousand last month. There was a topic on that too.
alligoat Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 A very nice red sub went for $12,655.00 at Hess Fine Arts this week- similar dial print- open 6's as I recall. It wouldn't take much to relume that dial we saw on ebay go for $6K. Here's Hess's auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=013 item 230251885320
