italiano17771 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 well i been super busy and its been 100 degrees here on the east coast! didnt have time to take appropriate pics....as you can see, i used my car and an empty water bottle as a prop. just some quick pics...sorry no review.
TK471 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Other than the date wheel, which seems to be a little skewed, the watch looks fairly amazing.
italiano17771 Posted June 11, 2008 Author Report Posted June 11, 2008 i thought the DW looked pretty good. the clasp is one of the nicer clasps i saw. here is the gen.
By-Tor Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Looks great! Hopefully we'll get a full review. It'd be nice to update the TAG Guide.
TK471 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 You're right... it is pretty good. Any chance we can see some of the single numerals to compare? I can't believe I just made such a ridiculous request... but there it is!
gtd Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Looking good bro! I just saw this watch last night at a local jewerly, and it looks amazing! Good choice
TmeShare Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Vey nice. I think the DW looks very good. How is the rubber strap is it a harder rubber (like the AP ROO and Oris) or a softer rubber that attracts dust? Despite ordering mine 1 week ago I just got the tracking number so my wait continues. TimeShare
Dario33 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Looks very promising...thanks for posting early pics!
onj Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 it looks great but what`s holding me back is the slower beat movement wich is unreliable. I hope they upgrade the movement then I will be all over it. Onj
windyzz Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 It look much more superior then my SLR quartz >.< Anyway thx for the pic
Pix Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 it looks great but what`s holding me back is the slower beat movement wich is unreliable. That's a wrong idea which members perpetuate The movements are different, that's all : both have their problems.
dadog13 Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 this one looks great...thanks for the pics! I tought only the fast beat A7750 had the running sec at 3...seems I was wrong! well, this is definitely a watch to consider!
Guest Sql_pl Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Hey is that an SLR seat in the background? :) Nice watch mate! Wear it well!
docblackrock Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Great pics thanks Italiano, hope you didn't sweat too much with the exertion of taking them in the heatwave Aaargh, just tried on the gen the other day - was offered an amazing deal (almost a 1000 /.€ off RRP) but passed safe in the knowledge this beauty was out. I STILL much prefer the Mk I SLR (please god let them rep that properly) but this is growing on me.
ajoesmith Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 What is the other crown for? maybe an HE valve? EDIT: maybe not as HE valves are only on divers watches. From the Tag website "Crowns: 2 polished and fluted crowns, engraved with ‘SLR’ at 3 o'clock and with a stamped TAG Heuer logo at 9 o'clock." Doesnt really explain

ajoesmith Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 How stupid am i from Joshs site: 'Rotating inner bezel via crown at 9.00'

By-Tor Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Awesome shots! Man... this watch is growing on me. I drive a Mercedes E200 Kompressor, so this would be quite convenient for me. Hey, isn't that a great excuse to buy yet another watch? PS: Any interest in making a full review of this? I'd love to add it to my TAG Guide.
docblackrock Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 I drive a Mercedes E200 Kompressor, so this would be quite convenient for me. Is that the rare German-market E200 Kompressor SLR then? Just kidding, I'll happily sport the Mk I myself ( please rep gods make it happen, same case, movt etc.)
TK471 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 It's really growing on me, too. I don't know why, but for some reason the SLR doesn't moniker doesn't put me off as much as the Ferrari watches. I really like this one. AR looks good, date font looks good, dial printing looks crisp. And it's what, $258? I think I'm going to have to get this one.
