TwoTone
A stainless steel submariner costs 30,000 dollars!?!?!? I didnt even think the solid gold ones cost that much!! It's White Gold...
maulermacall@hotmail.com
That blue reminds me of Tupperware. Or Legos. Or Playmobiles. Something made of cheap plastic. I can't see how Rolex will manage to pull through such a provocative color. It reminded me of a lego block too, or some plastic toy I used to have as a child. Seadweller4000
This is not a tool-watch anymore. It is designed for bling-bling collectors who can't have enough of the ROLEX brand name written all over it...
docblackrock
The choice of blue for this watch is just horrid. It's like 1970's bathroom tile blue. I mean there are literally thousands of combinations of color that could be used and it looks as if they just pointed at one and said: "what the hell, let's go with this one" Bad choice. I guess they forgot to use the Pantone Color Chart for reference. I love the green on my LV, however...a buddy of mine just got a (second hand) GEN 50th and it's quite nice. You're not wrong my amphibian friend, thought the same too. Could have been a nice deep blue, metallic even. But no.
thetwins
Just watch -- when they get around to repping this, the crown guards will be too thin
freddy333
I have to continue to cast the dissenting vote on this 1. I could do without the polished center links, but I still think the new Sub would be tits with jeans & a t-shirt. I just hope Rolex is not planning to produce it in a rainbow of colors like they do for the 'tropical' (strapped) Daytonas. That would turn the Sub line into a pure & silly fashion statement piece a la Swatch or Diesel (no offense intended to OUR Diesel, who is anything but a silly fashion statement piece ). blue_sphere
I think if they stick to the original blue and throw it in the white gold it will look stunning. As of now... it looks very cheap.
