Samurai Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Josh has put up a new Franck Muller Casablanca @ this link: http://www.joshwatch.com/fmca01002-casabla...750-p-5140.html Could the experts pls chime in on the accuracy of the watch? I have been dying to get my hands on an accurate FM for years now. Cheers
Samurai Posted October 14, 2008 Author Report Posted October 14, 2008 RG Plating is ok for normal use....lasts a fair bit of time if you wear it once in a while. Am not worried about the plating....but more on the accuracy of the watch comapred to the gen.
luisik Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 I think it is very close to gen, at a reasonable price... and a lovely watch to feel as a billionaire
Samurai Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Posted October 16, 2008 Am seriously considering getting this one....
hambone Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks Sander for the comparison shots. I found this new offering today and will pick this baby up. I have been waiting for an accurate, big Muller Casablanca. Very elegant watch.

Guest Sql_pl Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Yes, please post pics once you get it. I always wanted to get a nice Franck Muller, maybe this is the one. But I'd take it in steel.

Samurai Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 I love the FM......can anyone comment on the back markings for this watch...does it have the gold/Jeweller's stamp etc....and is it engraved in crisp lettering (it had better be....for the price it is being sold for )
Corgi Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I like it... I will do some research and this might just be my next purchase. I believe this is the watch the prime minister of Poland wears. *PATRIOTISM*

Samurai Posted October 28, 2008 Author Report Posted October 28, 2008 Mate....pics pls.....waiting anxiously.
thoth105 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Okay boys and girls, I just (just) received it, and I'm quite happy. I have no idea if it is terribly close to the original, but it does have a feeling of quality. The case is highly polished, the guilloche dial is very nice, push buttons are smooth, engravings on the back are pretty nice. The strap is pretty cheap though, as is the buckle. The ends of the pushers have some blue paint or something on them that isn't especially attractive. I don't know what that's about. I may try to visit my local gen dealer to get a sense of how it is in comparison to the a real one. I tried to take pics, but I'm horrible at indoor evening pics. Here they are, fwiw. Casablanca
jot9011 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Damn I was hoping for some high-res macro shots. Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty good. BTW the blue plastic stuff will come off with your nail.

Casablanca The "blue paint" is plastic to protect the pushers from scratches. It comes off easily.
Corgi Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Oh my god what the hell did they send you???? What's with the date wheel??? Looks like Corgi just dodged a bullet.
jot9011 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 ??? This is the 2nd version that Josh recently posted on his site, with the DW at 6?
