JohnG Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Thanks, but I'll stick to something reasonably practical. Practicality + fun is a good combination.
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 no, that's neither practical or fun. Useless and miserable, yes.
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 To counteract the noise from Spain.....
JohnG Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Ok, you seem to be really into mercedes. Here is one that has lot of luggage space (you want practical right?):
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 Okay. I laughed. *wipes the coffee off his monitor. Again*
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 For after the apocalypse: That's about 6 inches long, right?
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 I gotta admit I do like the new F700... wow. Gimme.
JoeyB Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Thanks, but I'll stick to something reasonably practical. Practicality + fun is a good combination. My old car is only worth around
JoeyB Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 I gotta admit I do like the new F700... Wow! Yep, I guess so!! Does it come with the Batman suit?
JohnG Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Wow! Yep, I guess so!! Does it come with the Batman suit? mmmm.... I think Greg already has that covered...
JoeyB Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 mmmm.... I think Greg already has that covered... Lol! Ah, John. Always the Joker!
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 I have an E430 Sport and I love it. I was pleasantly surprised to be getting just a hair under 20mpg with the thing. Good luck! I was astounded to get around 30mpg on a long run in the AMG E55 I had for the weekend (albeit that was a gentle drive at sensible speeds with the cruise control on), but it was more like 17-18mpg around the local lanes. Mind you, that's a UK gallon, which is larger than the US gallon, so your 20mpg would probably equate to slightly more over here. I'm thinking of trying an E320, which reportedly gets around 24-25-ish in average conditions, which isn't much worse than my previous (pre-tree) car... We'll see what happens when the insurance company sort themselves out...
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 mmmm.... I think Greg already has that covered... Nope - that's more for Hummer fans...
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 Lol! Ah, John. Always the Joker! Finally, a proper photo of John:
greg_r Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 Greg and unknown RWG member... Don't be shy Rob... errr, I mean John.... The yellow cape suits you so...
JohnG Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Don't be shy Rob... errr, I mean John.... The yellow cape suits you so... I think it was OSCAR who was looking for a yellow strap for his Breitling!
alphakazi Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Don't be shy Rob... errr, I mean John.... The yellow cape suits you so... that was a well deserved compliment Batman

Who's organising the shipping containers?
JohnG Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 OK. I'm sold. Who's organising the shipping containers? I have two dozen on order at the moment.
greg_r Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Posted October 22, 2008 I have two dozen on order at the moment. Isn't that a little excessive for only 7 members?
