RobbieG
I just found out that Bond has stepped down to the 42MM PO on a bracelet. I wonder if this is significant in some way in that maybe Omega is seeing some sales differences between the 45.5MM and 42MM PO's that made them want to promote the 42MM? Or maybe it is evidence that the giant watch trend is waning a bit or something to that effect? Who knows - or cares - but all I know is I guess I'm a day late and a dollar short. I bought my 42MM on steel and then Casino Royal came out revealing the 45.5MM on rubber as the hottest watch on the planet. Now I finally go buy an OEM rubber strap ala Royal so I can be Bond cool and a few weeks later Solace comes out and he is wearing my original watch now and on steel instead of rubber. Go figure. Oh well, at least with both sets of shoes I'm ready for anything and I would own this with or without either movie or and Bond at all for that matter. Versatile, unique, the richest AR in its class, perfect lume, and for me a perfect and most versatile size. Can't say enough about the mighty PO. Love it. wheaton26
although i have read everywhere it was a 45mm in casino royale, it did not look big on him at all. could it have been the 42mm as well?
RobbieG
No it was definitely the big size in Royal. I saw it myself but I also read that somewhere on Omega as well. I wondered that too at first being that he is more like my size. But then if you look close the watch does look pretty big on him in some scenes. Hard with the rubber though as the watch wears WAY smaller than with the bracelet. That is true with the 42MM as well. Mine wears bigger on steel and definely smaller on rubber. although i have read everywhere it was a 45mm in casino royale, it did not look big on him at all. could it have been the 42mm as well? Slartibartfast
Got mine from PT some two years ago. bullet proof build quality, as heavy as a brick. Runs like a dream, and worth keeping.

fakemaster
That's not the best looking rep. And they're claiming it's a Swiss eta. That's a lie. Either way it doesn't need that high beat rate.
chefcook
worse is that it is the wrong size!
Shundi
The gen limited edition has the QoS logo and PPK etched into the crystal...trouble is, it's just big enough that it looks like a scratch on the crystal at a glance! I wasn't too happy with it when I tried it on a few days ago... To be honest I'm not really sure most people would notice the difference at all...I've seen both QoS and CR multiple times and didn't notice the size difference and I knew what to look for! It may be as simple as Craig preferring the 42mm version during shooting...stranger things have happened!!
fakemaster
What is the wrong size. The rep? That is right. Only way the gen comes.
clellandm
Yep, the history of Daniel Craig and Planet Ocean is 45.5mm on rubber in a few outdoor scenes in Casino Royale. Next thing you know he is an Omega Ambassador and in print ads sporting the 42mm PO on a SS bracelet. Which is what he wears in Quantum of Solace. Then they put out the QOS special edition with the cool PPK grip dial and controversial QOS etching in the crystal - in 45.5mm only. All this talk of 42mm POs makes me long for mine that is still getting cleaned, regulated, and lumed in the frozen tundra of SW Pennsylvania. Is he known on the board/ accepting work? Some people here might be interested...

Some people here might be interested... I think he goes by TRex650, but isn't really active here. He is a professional watch builder/repairer/healer that goes by Rex450 on one of the other rep boards with the initials of RG. He has his own spot there where some of his work can be seen. I checked references before sending my watch there, so it should come back in nice shape.

clellandm
Last I heard it was running well after degunking, the dial lume was great, and he had to relume the hands until he liked the way they looked. Hopefully he'll put it back together and send it home soon. My SMP is lonely! I'll let you know how it turns out, but I have only heard good things. Surprisingly he found a true swiss movement in it, so it appears it to really be a 4th gen as advertised (I bought it used).
