elisiX
Hi All, Well this is the second part of my move after selling many of my highly modded reps. Most of which made up my extensive and rare Panerai collection. Initially I was going to buy two Breitlings, an SA and 6.75 but I changed my mind once this Panerai came available at my local Boutique AD. Please welcome a GEN Panerai 111K. This is such a fantiastic piece and im so happy I went with this model over the 104 (which I was also very closely considering). I guess the reasons for this were the sandwich dial and display back. I've tried to capture all different angles of this dial. It truly is something special to behold. Please excuse the million and one (many average) pictures. I went a little snap happy this afternoon. Also as with my BSA, due to the AUD pricing etc, I paid $4250 USD BNIB from a Boutique AD. I believe the retail in the states is about $5100?. I paid full AUD retail which is $6400 but RRP hasn't changed to reflect the recent drop in the dollar yet. I've seen a couple 111K's selling second hand on TZ/Paneristi for $4500 USD so I know im still ahead which is great. I have plans to grab one of the latest 'ultimate' 104 and 88 from Josh once my bank account recovers. Will most likely ship them off to Vac for some work and then my collection wont be so bare again. I've taken some close up shots of the case (as close as I could get it) as some have asked for more close detail pictures. I'll upload the shortly. elisiX
The AR is not what I expected on this Gen. You cannot see any blue hue at all - the AR is hard to see. The dial is clear as you would expect but not at all angles. I've since read that gens have single inside AR. In all the pictures i've taken, only one shows the AR coating which is awesome. I always hated 'seeing' the AR on my reps. Anyway, please find below a million new pics taken today on a new strap. This is made by fellow member, rcrscom. Made from an old baseball glove and cost under $100. Seriously awesome and thick strap. It rivals the Ted Su ($300+ strap) and Micah ($150+ strap) I also own. Enough pics for now.. lazarini
Congrats m8, as many said gen is a gen. That said a 111 is a true classic piece and a worthy pickup indeed. Wish you a lot of fun with your new watch and happy holidays! regards Laz

promotersf
Great pics and awesome watch...and AMAZING price! I picked up my 111j earlier in the year for $1000 more . I think there are going to be great values for gens in the secondary market as the world economies continue to slide which will present some good buying opportunities...but this deal from an AD is an amazing one
