Justasgood
O.K., perhaps you remember my request to help my watchmaker who has done alot for many members here....anonomously of course. And I mentioned he came across an old Tudor watch in some old trash he was about to toss out. I am trying to help him find a bezel and band for it. Well, here are the pictures of this odd Franken: Case is marked: 9401/0 and serial #847368 Any help you can give to pull this one together would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Kurt
alligoat
Won't this watch take a standard 5513 assembly? Flat washer and bezel with insert. An MBW perchance. And of course, if that won't work, there's freddy's and my friend down here in beautiful Sugar Land, TX- Faisal Ali- wholesaleoutlet999/jewelryoutlet555. Seems like he sells the bezel assembly for the 9401 Or NY-RSC- but that could get pricey. Natalie at NDTrading.... Does the crown/case tube assembly look like a 24-702 assembly? The case tube looks like it to me.
freddy333
The only parts that look gen are the caseback & tube (no pics of the crown face) & I agree with Alli on all counts. But I think that before you spend additional money on this, I would get a more plausible dial. The 1 that is in there now is terrible.
alligoat
I agree with Freddy on the dial- that 12 o'clock marker is encroaching on the Tudor Rose and should be penalized 15 yards!
Justasgood
Thanks for the input. The case, hands, crystal and crown/tube are all genuine. Yes the crown/tube is the 702. Yes the dial is a big mess and yes, there was no collaboration between Tudor and Blancpain. This watch is being cobbled together by my watchmaker, for my watchmaker. I ordered a beezel from Clark and I have a Rivet bracelet I bought from 'nuq (I think) but it needs the end pieces. I think we will try to get the blue snowflake dial and blue insert. Then, perhaps a trip to The Zigmeister to match the lume on the dial and hands.
