AllergyDoc
I received this watch today. The date font didn't look like ETA date fonts. They look too wide and too thin. Any opinions?
w.genzo
Reps don't use ETA date disc, that's an overlay over the ETA datewheel. About the movement, I cannot help you
morlock
I think it is a gen ETA, but I could be wrong, on this days is getting harder and harder to find out. Lets see the opinions of other geeks.
kbh
All of the obvious tells suggest gen ETA.
P4GTR
The date font is crap.. But i'll 2nd that the tells I look for seem to make this gen ETA. My eye is not trained enough to say without a doubt though doc. Those are pretty good pics, i'm sure you'll get your answer soon enough.
Noel Fleischer
i would GUESS from the brushed silver wheel its ETA. a nice Rolex DJ! Doc- hasn't the recession hurt you? god bless- you keep on goin'..
AllergyDoc
Thanks guys. The date fonts suck big time. I look at the fonts and think "21J Asian." If the dealer doesn't fix it I'm selling it. It was supposed to be the exact same watch from the same factory as this one: THAT'S the date font I was expecting. geyper man
Looks ETA GEN to my eyes. DW overlay looks not so accurate to gen one.
Omega
Gen ETA, date font also OK - but not a clear print, like the most overlays. BTW: The ETA wheels are on Rolex models with correct date-mag position (like yours) not used, there are other overlays glued over them.
