MADRED7
What are they drinking up in the far east? If they really get this piece on the market with that known sec@12-price-tag....I am happy I spend half of that amount for the old sec@9 version..... The biggest flaw is the dial...you cannot see any gears because of that re-designed movement. My grandpa used to say: Get it right first time! Yeah...right. Guest Sql_pl
Well it looks to be really close. Now all I need is strength not to order it once it is available

iceberg1459
wow, it actually looks very good..hands and skeleton part of dial look visually perfect but hard to tell from pic, top of the bezel should be brushed heres a detailed pic of gen
smalldogfrenzy
I know Josh's pics are garbage but that case really looks like it's Ti to me.
Mickey Padge
Maybe they could have replicated fake gears under the dial? it still looks quite good though
Dani
problem is the gears under the dial is not visibel, but i dont think that is to big problem hardly any will notice.
smalldogfrenzy
Even the band looks correct. I'll tell u what, if they fix the dial gear issue I'm all over this like a fat kid on a chocolate bunny!!
southcoast68
Maybe they could have replicated fake gears under the dial? it still looks quite good though Like printing a picture of the gears on the top plate of the movement
iceberg1459
very few people know about AP, even fewer people know about barrichello and probably nobody knows it should have gears under dial lol..after all it looks like a very good rep of a 70k watch
Mickey Padge
Well if I remember the secs@12 movement review correctly, there was a metal plate just sitting between the dial and movement, to create a slight gap for the date, they could have decorated that plate with the fake gears maybe and used a true skeleton dial? From Francisco's review: He said: "A first very thin plate appears. It is not screwed, only fastened by the pins of the dial. I cannot find the function of this plate." So they could improve this if they thought of it........
specialvat
With a bit of work we could improve this watch ourselves with either transfers (stickers) or trimmed down gears, providing there is enough space between plate and dial. Looks promising then

So they could improve this if they thought of it........ There you go! Sorry, don't mean to be a wet blanket here, and I know its a rep, but this may very well be priced at the $700 mark or there abouts, thats a lot for a rep only to have a flaw that would drive a WIS insane. I just gotta wonder, obviously there was a lot of R and D going into this one, and its a rather complex design, so I just wonder why they would not try to remedy such a flaw with what would be easy to fix with the printing of gears on the movement plate. The gen has a skeletonized dial for a reason, this high end rep ignores that completely. Kudos to the makers for putting fourth the effort, and it really does look great, but it may have been better to have it with a solid dial instead of what they did. If 99.9% of the public would not know of this watch anyway, the only people who it would bother is us, and it will.
iceberg1459
yes it looks moddable but i personally wouldnt bother..you simply cant get a 70k watch 1:1 only maybe you can punch a larger hole center of the plate at cannon and put a gear, it semms to be theoritically possible

krustybrand
Why not simply skeletonize the plate in the appropriate places?
rkdk
I really dont give a f... im all over this, as soon as its availlable. It looks absolutely fantastic. WUHUUUUUUUE. its my grail watch :D :D :D :D
Francisco
Why not simply skeletonize the plate in the appropriate places? Because the modifed movement is different...some plates over the movement...nothing to see. However. I can make a decal showing gears... not very good...but better...
