triplehd
So I got me my first Sub - a MBW 16610. Really impress with the watch. I talked to Palp about some of the mods he did with his watches and one of them, which many other members have done, was replace the crown and tube. He informed me that I would need a 7mm crown. So, I did my search on eBay and came up with these tworesults: Crown # 1 Crown # 2 I am not Sub expert and tried doing my research from other members who did mods, but those were mainly for their vintage subs. Would either of these two crowns work for me?
alligoat
Either crown should work, you need the 7mm submariner crown (in ss). Then there is the case tube, 24-7030, or something like that. You can get away w/ just changing the crown, but it's a better deal when you change both. The rep parts aren't as good as the gen parts. So if you change out both the crown and the tube, you've got the whole assembly.

Linder
Is the sub case tube 24-7030 or 24-7020? Where can one look up part numbers like these?
bertieng
Is the sub case tube 24-7030 or 24-7020? Where can one look up part numbers like these? 24-7030 is the one, but hard to find the gen. piece. Try Cousin/Otto Frei web site, they have their own part no. corresponding to what gen.'s ref.
