ThinkBachs Posted April 3, 2009 Report Share Posted April 3, 2009 I took a nap with the news on and heard them talking about a hospital trauma center being SU, then our local hospitals mentioned. What! As I started to focus, they were talking about Binghamton, NY and our Civic Center where a lone gunman drove his car to the rear door of the building, locked it then went through the front of the building and started shooting people. Now there's an emergency alert system transmission telling people where family members can get more information from law enforcement about the situation. The shooter killed himself. Holy crap! Vietnamese, we hardly ever hear anything about people from this group causing any problems. Good people that pretty much keep to themselves, work hard, and are very friendly. So weird to see parts of Binghamton on Fox News. 41 year old man was the shooter... This is going to be very hard for the Vietnamese community here, they're a tight group- like most ethnic groups I suppose, where just about everyone knows everyone else. The President of the local Civic Assoc had the day off today, what a day to take off. I'll have to call tomorrow to see if they need any help...
