Gadget Man Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) Hi guys, I thought I would show you this, my latest purchase from over at one of the other forums who claims it is from a new manufacturer? Seems to have a nice bevelled edged date window too. Edited April 3, 2009 by Gadget Man
Stephane Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Well that is a good news about the date window. It allways bother me on a rep. Is it just me or the "original xxxx" and "ring lock system" are also better placed ?
ThinkBachs Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I've seen just about every version of this that there is and this one rates at the top of the list for me. Good job finding this one.
Watchmeister Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Congrats. I picked up the same one. I do think it is the best version but it does seem like steps forward on the dial and bezel but step back on the he valve. I am enjoying mine. Still gonna take a shot at upgrading the date window in the next few weeks. They finally put in modest rounded bevel and am hopeful the "ledges" can be sharpened up. Even picked up a spare dial in case my beveling turns into dial annihilation. Most importantly, nice watch and wear it well.
DaniM4 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) Man that looks way better than my V3! CONGRATS!!! Edited April 4, 2009 by DaniM4
yaron Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Although I am still not a fan of the DSSD, this one looks really great and may change my mind. Wear it well!
freddy333 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Looks good, but I am not sure I see much of an improvement over other recent versions of this watch (which already look great).
OmegaPOFL Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Looks good, but I am not sure I see much of an improvement over other recent versions of this watch (which already look great). freddy, do you know if the He valve actually pushes out like a gen?
freddy333 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Sorry, but I bailed on the SDDS some time ago (not my style) & do not have 1 on hand to check. My guess is that the 'valve' functions (moves), but I would not trust it to either function to gen specs or to be watertight.
