rps
bit of a leading question really, as I'd like to list a couple for sale but pointless doing so unless they fit the DW 6263
Nanuq
Both my DWs accepted gen tropic-21s just fine.
watchguyusa1
you may have to sand down the inside of the bezel a bit, as the rolex t-21 is a hair wider than the crystal DW uses
gplracer
How much of a difference does the gen crystal make over the stock crystal. I have a gen but almost hate to mess with it. It appears that the one I have with the stock crystal has some glue holding it on. I can see it under magnification.
Guest avitt
If you have an original, early gen Tropic 21, with a domed profile, then I'd suggest that you not use it on the DW, as there are a number of aftermarkets which will give the exact same look. If your gen T21 is the later model, with the beveled edge, then it will be a significant improvement on your DW. There shouldn't be any glue holding the DW stock crystal...They should just press on and off. I will say that his crystals are generally poor quality. They tend to crack around the edges after a short time.
ubiquitous
DWs and EEs absolutely accept Gen T-21's...
freddy333
There are a couple different versions of the gen T21, depending on age (early versions have rounded tops, later/current versions are beveled). Gen T21 (later/current version) Original rounded DW crystal (similar in shape to early gen T21) Aesthetically, I think the later/current gen T21 is the most beautiful of all the crystals because it gives the watch a jewel-like quality. gplracer
I am about to undertake this upgrade. I have just been hesitant. Edited July 27, 2009 by gplracer
Chronus
you may have to sand down the inside of the bezel a bit, as the rolex t-21 is a hair wider than the crystal DW uses Would a gen bezel be a better bet? I was offered a gen 6265 bezel for around $1k. Edited July 29, 2009 by Chronus
