Nanuq
Okay boys, let's see what you've got for "close calls" in aviating. This one is perhaps the most amazing job of flying I've ever seen. If not this, then the next one for sure. Wing and a Prayer #
Nanuq
Wing and a Prayer #2 This is how a supremely well-trained US Navy pilot, ice running in his veins instead of blood, fully regains control of his $70 million fighter jet, after a problematic vertical take-off attempt. Watch the rear vertical thruster fire to cause the problem. f_35.wmv
tenacious_b
The first one contains some fairly clever CGI...the second one is almost certainly completely CGI.

KB
In the first one that better not be his mechanic running over to the plane when he lands, if it is he probably got a black eye. Ken
trailboss
Am I the only one reading the comment from a flight instrustor regarding the CGI nature of these clips? You guys read the whole thread before posting? I concur with Dems BTW. I'm no pilot but have several thousand hours up as aircrew (loadmaster). No offence Nanuq, the're well done. Col. robertk
This caused quite a stir when it first was shown. It turned out to be a very good CGI job. Congrats to the technicians.
