Watch Stand Prototype - Your feedback is wanted

Had to work with my carpenters today and when we got done early I played around with two pieces of teak wood and a drawer pull.

Here is the result.

I will make myself a dozen, but if people are interested I can make more.

It is quite practical, stable and affords easy handling of the mounted watch (unlike his flimsy plexi syblings):

This prototype is 1.5" wide, after the first feedback over at RG I have decided to make the final version 2" wide so there are no concerns about stability and add wooden plugs for the screw holes.

Tell me what you think.

Shipping is easy since the whole unit folds down flat:

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Lani _ I am sure you have even nicer views at your location.

Actually if I could just extend this view 4,800 miles (more or less) I would probably see your place.

Quite cool! :)

I like it, will perhaps grab the idea for a DIY project. ;)

That's cool - just don't forget to send me the royalties (how about one of your watches....) :D

It does look good but the make or break question would be....how much?

Ken

Edit to add; Actually the make or break question may end up being.....how much for shipping?

If you are not in a hurry shipping shouldn't be more than $10 - $12 for a Set of Three and take between 7 - 14 days depending on your location.

For all US members: I am going to Miami in a about two weeks and can send then from there.

Sorry guys, but we had a region-wide power outage all afternoon.

So the 2.0 version won't be shown until tomorrow.
