Jumped on the special 3 days ago and paid right away, no email confirmation yet... I am not worried but just wondering if anybody else is in the same boat... maybe he is busy loading the watches haha ^_^ can't wait.

Don't worry. He's swamped. Jay is a slow emailer at the best of times, but don't expect too much until Monday (doesn't work on weekends). However, emailing him again wouldn't go amiss.

Email title: "Payment Confirmation". That gets his attention with me. ;)

@fivefive: Please look at the Breitling section. It's all there.

EDIT: Okay, here I did the fingerwork for you.

"We really appreciate the business we do here, and decide to offer another great sale. All swiss SFSO, BRES046/047/048, will go at US$225, plus shipping. It is with swiss eta-2824 movement, super AR coated sapphire, and 316 stainless steel. U could see the pics at www.silix-prime.com. Enjoy it.

I had the same thing happen....I ordered, off of his website, waited for paypal information, etc....with no response for a few days...(weekdays) and then I received the email requesting the corrected 225.00 pricing, with the paypal information....

Personally I'd wait...he'll get back to you....

Cheers,

rbscott

hey vbarrett, just wondering what i should do in order to buy then??

just e-mail him and send him the payment at the same time??

or wait until he gives me a reply then i send him the payment???

thanks

I think others have answered, but since you address the question to me, I feel duty-bound to respond. :)

Basically, you email him, he sends you info on how to pay, and you wait for a reply for the EMS tracking. Coolfire mentioned the Chinese hols -- that plays a role in slow replies.

But Jay is a slow emailer, in part because he's part of a smaller operation than others. He's a nice guy, very nice. But sometimes gets in over his head, I think.

He'll be ever more swamped with this special. Keep emailing, but don't overdo it, would be my suggestion.

No, I wouldn't PM anyone for payment info, since maybe he has changed it, or he uses certain ones for certain customers.

V has just given a very accurate account of Jay... especially the parts about him being a very nice person and his payment options... He always changes them and has certain options for certain customers...

Guys, just be patient. I orderd from the site, no confirmation. Waited for a email after I sent one saying 'ill buy one, where do i deposit the cash' , few days later I got a paypal email, paid straight away and got confirmation yesterday (Sunday) he's packing and sending it!

Bit slower then the other guys but given its a special im sure he's flat stick ;)

Cant wait for my SFSO White Eta to turn up!

My questions is how is this so cheap? Is this the same as the original SFSO Swiss???? My dealers tells me that $225 is less the his cost on this piece, so I wonder if it is to good to be true?

Cost pricing? LOL. Lets see... $1.00 an hour for labour. Say 1 hour for watch assembly. $40 for the movement. $20 for the case and bracelet.

Total manufacturing price is $61 sell to dealers for $150. Retail for $225. Not a bad gig. I am guessing with these numbers although I know average hourly labour rate in China is about $1. They are making money believe you me. No one in their right mind sells a product internationally with no markup. They are entitled to make money, no different then us. The Chinese are very good business men. For the same reasons why China now has the second largest ecomony in the world. Again, as I said in another thread... everything is about perceived value. If you think it is worth it and you like it, buy it.

hmm cos the case diameter/thickness is like the superocean, and not like the steelfish...

ohh well maybe he doesnt have the one he is selling for 225 on his website.

According to my calipers, the case is 44.05mm wide by 16.15mm thick...pretty close to the numbers from Breitling.
