Guest submersible24g
After stumbling across and older TW cased sub the other day with the rare "centered lug holes" and deep rehaut ring, I decided to put this one together. with the wife out of town this weekend, i get to play....... THE SUBMARINER I modeled this one after the "T" serial cased sub from the early nineties. BIG mad thanks and props to Ubi for sourcing me some parts to finish it. Ebay for the dial and other parts. bosk
Hi, Superb project! What was the dial size? I was unaware that TW cases could fit gen dials. My CN case is definitely uses a larger dial than gen. thanks bosk
Guest submersible24g
in the TW cases the inner rehaut ring is smaller in diameter than the CN sub case. therefore the gen dial fits right in. only mod is to relocate the feet on the back of the dial or in my case, cut em off and solder an ETA scaper ring to the back and then fit it to the ETA top plate. Jetsons
That is a beauty & terrific work. The OEM dial makes a huge difference! I've though about doing this to my old TW but just can't get myself to alter an OEM dial. Enjoy!
freddy333
Great work. The hands & dial make that watch a real beauty. I think the cyclops magnification may be a bit low though. But other than that the amount of effort you obviously put into that project definitely shows.
HauteHippie
Very nice sub. Perhaps the best 16610 yet. The HEL bracelet and T < 25 dial make this watch amazingly accurate. The excellent CG work doesn't hurt either.
