  4. Today, my wrist is adorned by the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra in 007 Blue. This has immediately become my favourite watch and it is stunning in person.

  5. Yep, and there's the rub ... nobody has ever seen a Datora with the AOPA wings. It's like it was a transitional model between the Datora and Navitimer, but sprung from the workbench of Charles Gigandet.

  7. *Update* I was able to clean the bracelet. It took a fine scratch remover that I use on my car called Scratch-X for lubricant (just the smallest dab) and a 3M synthetic steel wool pad (0000 fine). I masked the top and bottom of the bracelet with painters tape so only the effected edges were exposed and brushed it until the crud was gone then buffed it with a microfiber cloth. I have to say, it really looked like surface rust to me. I've done my share of crudding up a bracelet and it never looked like this. Had it been dirt/sweat, my finger nail should have been able to get it to budge and a damp cloth with some elbow grease should have removed it.....I'll say the verdict is still out as I continue to wear it.

  8. This is my modded MBW with Ingod Dial. Fixed lugbars, gen crown + tube, gen crystal, CWP Insert, modified relumed Omega Hands and a modified ETA 2846 with the date function fully removed. I had someone do the assembly for me and gathered the parts over some time. I also had the back engraved. In total my 5513 SBS set me back about 1200 Euro if I remember correctly. More than I initially planned for, but I'm quite satisfied with the results. Definitely a challenging project, but worth it in the end. Good luck with yours and please post pictures! Here's another pic with a gen bezel insert before I got the one from CWP.
