  1. Just received this watch a few hours ago. Had to post a few pics and first impression thoughts. Now i cant compare this to a gen, so all observations are general. I compare fit/finish against other reps like Pam111 and SOSF v2. Bracelet: Was very "rattely" upon arrival. I soaked it in Rock n Roll lube and washed it off. Now if feels very good. No hard edges. Clasp snaps in as it should. SEL fit and endlinks are just great. Case: It collects fingerprints like an iphone screen! I find myself polishing the case with my shirt all the time. The inside corners on the lugs are razor sharp. Maybe its possible to sand thoose down. Otherwise the case is good, sits great on the wrist. Crystal: AR is good. Better than my Noob 111, but not as good as the SOSF v2. Its raised but i don't think its as doomed as the gen. I think.. Color hands/indexmarkers: We know they are not the same color. But you wont notice this on the wrist. This is a non issue. Dial: Just great. Pure class and good execution. Bezel and pearl: Biggest letdown of the watch. It turns pretty easy, but its a 60 click bezel. Maybe it should be like that, but im so used to 120 click bezels so it feel strange. It also feels "sheap" when you turn it, it has a bit of play and the pearl does not center 12 marker with a click. Its between clicks if you know what i mean. pearl is centered and looks good. I know an updated pearl will be released, i don't see any reason to change this pearl. A non issue for me. Conclusion: I have waited for this watch for over a year. Been following the RG thread daily. I had high expectations. But when my boss bought the gen i told myself that this would be a C&R. But im not so sure anymore. Its a stunning watch with a lot of character. The grey dial and gold hand is just purse sex. Its a small watch, but wears pretty big. This is something ppl notice. The feel of the watch is very good, im starting to really love it. I highly recommend this watch. Go get it Now on to the pics.

  2. Good News guys, this tube is perfect. Just received mine for the 5514 project, everyone knows that dbane and I have been tearing our hair out because of the strange thread pitch on the gen 702 tubes. Anyway, gen 702 crown screws down like butter. Tube screws into the case smoothly and seats perfectly how it should. This tube gets an A+ and I am happy to say that I can finally assembly my 5514. Thanks Athaya, great f'ing job.

  4. It's remarkable how many friends I've made through this hobby. I've had the pleasure of seeing many of you in person (over beer, pizza, or foie gras!), though there are a lot of people I've yet to meet but trust completely. Thanks very much to all of you! I visit several forums, but RWG is the one I consider home. May it (and I!) go on for many more years!

  8. I've worked my way up from a 2 turntable, 4 + 6 watch winder, to a 4 turntable, 8 + 8 watch winder to my current one, 12 turntables, 24 + 0 watch winder. First one I found for about £80 IIRC, the second is a lovely quality item, cost about £250, the last one cost less, I got it for £220. The last one is a vertical winder:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370987947782 But i've still got my first watch box which holds 20 watches, enough for the manuals and quartz watches. Do you want a winder for 4 watches on 2 platforms, or 8 watches on 4 platforms or a 4 platform winder that fits one watch per platform? My 8 watch winder is going spare at the moment, but it is a quality item, as new, and normally costs about £800, so I'm asking what I paid for it really. I'm not really bothered if I sell it or not as I'm sure i'll fill up the 24 watch winder before this year is out.

  11. If you need to ask " is this a good watch" then you have absolutely no business buying said watch. Are you going to take QC pics of a TV and ask is this a good TV? How about a game system ? Or maybe a desktop ? How about a mountain bike? Those decisions could very easily over value a $300 rep. Yet, I presume you do your homework and make the choice on your own about any other purchase. Why is this any different? Our "TD's" have been around longer than some and will be around longer than most. The thought of a "TD" being questioned nauseates me. These TD's have been through a plethora of libel from so many of the " knowledgeable members". Many of whom, have no tact, nor manners, and just speak their mind. (My kind of people, btw ) The TD's reputation far out weighs your [censored] ant $300 purchase. Keys to success here. IMHO. Keep quiet. Listen or read. Search the forums. Evaluate your financial situation. Browse the TD's website. Make a list of " Possibles" Research some more. Be a gentleman. Ask a couple of limited & educated questions. Pay the damn man. Shut up & wait. Pretend it's Christmas when your watch arrives. Post positive feedback for your TD. Take lots of pictures. Share your POSITIVE buying experience with us. Repeat steps 5 more times. Then consider becoming a contributing member. END. ********************** Note to self ****************** Research on becoming a contributing member.

  12. It's a replica factory in China making very good Rolex replicas. Actually the only factory (besides WM9) that makes the good ones. bklm1234 started calling them that, because this factory became popular of the Noobmariner. The "Noobfactory" watches are: Explorer II with correct datewheel position (ETA WHS, ETA CHS <- very rare) GMT II (Asian WHS, ETA WHS, ETA CHS <-very rare) GMT IIc "Ultimate" (Asian WHS, ETA WHS, ETA CHS) Daytona Seconds at '6 (Asian 7750) Noobmariner (Asian 21J, Asian 28.800, and ETA) Noobmariner two-tone (Asian 21J with plated links, ETA with wrapped high quality links) Yacht Master (Asian 21J and ETA) Seadweller "SSD" (Asian 21J and ETA) Many dealers are trying to sell all kinds of utter sh*te under the name of "Noob version", which is certainly misleading the new members. I have reviewed all popular Noobfactory watches in my section. There is only 1 best replica base of the all above mentioned watches. Compare the sales pictures to pics of the correct versions and beware the junk!
