  2. Once upon a time, earlier this year, I fell victim to the alluring concept of the replica watch. By simply typing the words "replica watch" on google, many sites came up, but none of the reputable ones you will find in this forum. Instead, you will be plagued by the biggest ripoff scam websites on the internet. I have discovered the largest watch ripoff umbrella on the internet. The group of internet based companies have the same swiss upgrade gimmick and are based primarily out of New York. If you buy from one of the following sites, you WILL be ripped off!! I almost fell victim to one of these rip off sites and thank god I found a reputable rep forum that saved me. Here is what I know: - The dealer will convince you to do C.O.D or Wire Transfer. - If you are out of the USA, they will say that due to security and fraud that credit card orders will not be accepted. They will convince you to do a money wire since that is the next safest method since you will have their business bank account information. Little do you know that the info provided is not actually a bank account!! It is a routing number where your funds are redirected several times until it ends up in a pre-paid debit/credit card company. The money enters the fraudster's prepaid debit/credit card where the funds are withdrawn immediately. These pre-paid accounts are set up all over the United States and are extremely hard to track. There are many aliases and phone numbers that these scammers use. They don't really have a base of operations and work off pre-paid cell phone numbers. They have set up a fake rep review site called http://www.fakereviews.com and http://www.replicainspector.com. The pictures used on these sites are of actual gen watches!! Not the watch(es) you may or may not receive. How do I know so much? I almost fell victim and actually wired funds to bluefakes. Luckily I have very powerful friends in the banking industry. With thorough investigation and persistance, I tracked to where the funds ended up. I not only got my money back, but ended up freezing several of their accounts and money returned back to other victims. Here is the list of the companies: GLOBAL REPLICA Additional Business Names: A Fine Luxury Time AFineLuxuryTime.com Allfakes Betterswiss BlueFakes Fullswiss Go Replicas Italian Fakes Jewelers Laststopwatch Limited Watch My Swiss Replica MySwissReplica.com New Replica Newwatch4u Nextswiss Nyswiss OnTimeFakes Precise Knock Offs Ravereplicas Redhotwatch Replicaceo Reproduccion Global Showtimereplicawatches Sizzlefakes SwissFreeze Zenithmotor I am really sorry that it took so long to compile this. I read about a victim on repgeek and got really angry. I really wanted to put the past behind me but something has to be done. I hope I am not too late to try and help others. These are only the companies that I know of under the same group. There potentially can be more. I have put together this information in hope that other people do not fall victim to these petty thugs. Jawo

  3. I got this some days ago. The Crystal was a little "foggy" inside, so yesterday I took the watch apart, and cleaned the Crystel inside. Now it looks like this:

  4. Hi: I decided to buy a Daytona, given that the new movement was rated as 29j improved version. The watch arrived today and I decided to analyze it. I bought it from Joshua (Perfect Clones) This is the watch I have received. In the pictures, NEW is the supposed improved 29j mechanism, and OLD is a Daytona that I applied the graphite technique on 26 February 2008. I took then pictures of the process, and now I have taken very similar pictures to help the comparison. The movement is removed from the case. And hands and dial are removed. Follows the first comparison. As seen on next picture, the transfer system is based on gears rotating on a plate, fastened with pins (green arrow) with no jewels. This is the same transfer system employed on the old model. There is an improvement shown by the red arrow. This improvement consists of reducing the contact surface on the gear employing “skeleton” gears instead of “solid” gears. After removing 3 screws, the top plate is removed. Follows pictures for each side of this plate. Next picture is top face. As shown, there are 3 jewels in the top plate. However, these jewels were present in the old model. These jewels are located in the seconds, minute and hour outputs of the watch. Therefore, no improvement here. The bottom face (next picture, red arrow) shows how some surface of the plate has been hollowed out. The objective is to reduce friction against the silver gear shown later (green arrow). This is one of the improvements, however, no more jewels are found here. Next picture shows the silver gear (green arrow). This gear is rotating on the surface of the plate and, unfortunately, belongs to the seconds transfer. Therefore, it is always rotating. The only improvement for this gear was commented in the previous image. No new jewels. As seen in next picture, the main improvement consists of reducing the contact surface of the gears employing skeleton gears, instead of solid ones. In next picture the gears for seconds and minutes outputs are removed. The two red arrows shown that the minutes output has a jewel and no jewel for the hours. However, this was the previous configuration. Nothing new, no new jewels. Now the seconds output gear is removed, the gear that is always running. Red arrow shows that there is not a new jewel. And a jewel here is much needed. After removing 3 screws and removing the second plate the A77500 mechanism is visible. Nothing new here. Two pictures follow for the second plate that we have just removed. The only difference, as commented before, is the use of skeleton gears. No new jewels. Follows top face. Follows bottom face. CONCLUSIONS. There are no more jewels in this mechanism. The improvement consists mainly in employing skeleton gears to reduce the rotating contact surface. The transfer for minutes is better designed that the seconds transfer. The seconds are always running and the design is still very problematic. Although there are improvements… definitively this is not a long life mechanism. Thanks for reading, Francisco.

  6. I usually get QC pictures before they ship it out. Thats not something you'd be able to tell in the pictures anyways, probably happened in transit. The reason why you're not getting any replies now is because everyone is off until Monday. If you're in CONUS you should get a reply Sunday evening. edit: and the fact that you didn't received QC pics is probably just an oversight because it was so close to to CNY. I wouldn't risk paying money to ship it back and then perhaps pay money again to have it shipped back to you. Better off just getting it looked at locally. Good luck.

  7. Since it CNY, the forum responses will center around that point, companies usually start back up by Monday. People's experience with PT has been good, you should hear back from Angus. You should be able to send it back to PT to have it repaired. Otherwise a watchsmith may be able to find some simple reason it stopped, like a loose screw that fell into the movement, etc.

  8. Sorry for late reply had a lot of work to do. So thanks all for your nice and helpful answers. Ezio is a stand up guy and it was a pleasure to deal with him from side as a seller. That the watch was working is a fact and I believe Ezio when he tells me that it's damaged now. Stuff like that could even happen with gens and for my part i never go for swiss eta since I rather save the money and use it when the watch needs a fix. So the milgauss is a nice watch and the case is in good shape aswell as the bracelet. If ezio likes to out in a gen swiss eta (new obviously) then I think it's a good decission but obviously I won't pay that much Conclusively I will further chat with Ezio and arrange an amount I will send him to repair/replace it. I understand all the critical attitude but he's not this kind of guy and furthermore, he did not once ask for damages. I think it's just fair, since we all know how it feels when you are happily awaiting a watch and it arrives either with a flaw or doa. All of us should know that this can happen in the rep game, but nevertheless we all appreciate the nice aftersales service our great trusted dealers provide. So thanks again and Ezio and I will sort that out in a fair way. Btw. Shipping from UK to Denmark via royal airmail was lightning fast! Cheers, Sputim

  10. a quick phone pic. Loving this watch!! Read some of the negatives that some buyers have had (mostly on RG) - I had a couple of my own, but were an easy/quick/cheap fix Say what you will (and there are many naysayers about Angus), but what he's collaboratively put together with the 'Z-Factory' and some passionate Geeks is a remarkable timepiece for the money. I commend him for this and congratulate him for the revenue he's generated from it Possibly QC wasn't the greatest it could be from the 'factory', but that can be understood (not forgiven however) given the insatiable and relentless demand to get this out before CNY Mine had misaligned hands (easy fix) Mine had play in the bezel (dental floss 'fix') That's it, no other issues Bracelet is superb - finish and fit is exceptional. Will R&R lube it at some point perhaps, but after a short bath in washing-up liquid with some baby oil added, it probably doesn't need it Dial is sublime, lume is way better than average Will at some stage put a Swiss heart in it and get a relume and get the bezel a proper fix, but right now it'll take some [censored] effort to get it off my wrist In short - fence-sitters, get off your splintered arses and get into the Black Bay ASAP!!

  15. Sometimes versions come about because of wanted improvements, sometimes they're simply because they ran out of the previous version. If you want a part from TC check his website as it lists his stock status.

  16. I think in the description there should be a comma and the word "and" between seconds at six and functional regulator It should look more like this(it makes a difference) Asian 7750 automatic chronograph movement at 28800VPH with seconds at 6 , and a functional regulator. The regulator controls the watch timing and really has nothing to do with the "seconds at 6" issue. AFIK

  18. No mods are really 'important and critical' for the v6, IMO ... even the insert. Others may differ in opinion, but it's really that good. Perfectionists may want more, but we're talking only minor improvements which may or may not be worth spending the extra money on. It's really up to the owner and the budget. Gen crown is obviously more accurate as would the crystal be, but is that going to make a huge difference to a majority of people, no. In fact, a majority of the people wouldn't know the difference between the v6 insert and the gen either. If you are trying to pass it off as gen among a bunch of gen owners who know the watch well (like many of us here), then do all the upgrades (even the really crazy ones). They will even be able to spot the dial and hands differences and the fit and finish of the bracelet. If you just want it to look good around normal people, then you didn't even need to do the insert. Since you have it coming already, just install it and be done. I did not say the v3 clasp is better than the v4. Quite the opposite. The v3 bracelet is widely regarded as being better, but the v4 clasp is better than the v3's. Plenty of threads about it.

  22. As You are probably getting more than one watch in the long run try out the movements Asian 2813, Asian ETA 36, Swiss ETA and Asian 7750 for Chronos. Swiss ETA´s in Switzerland are assembled in a sterile environment out of vacuum packages which have gone through several quality controls before. Asian Swiss ETA´s are those the swiss didn´t want or used ones taken out of damaged watches and are stored in a big box together with some dust and dirt. Than they are assembled in the backyard of a garage by workers with a cold under harsh conditions. Asian ETA´s are assembled in the same conditions but they are brandnew and nowadays well machined. Both movements may be serviced and will run super-smooth. The Asian 2813 is a basic movement but it´s a workhouse, sometimes indestructible I have several and sometimes prefer them, easy to wind also, the rotor swings a bit louder but they cost a lot less. Before You buy a chrono - the better ones all come with an Asian 7750 - do more reading how to use the chrono before You break it or don´t buy one. The SO Abyss You initially posted is a superrep - if it´s available get it and that´s it. Order a cheap watch toolkit from Amazon with some small screwdrivers, pin removal and bracelet removal equipment and get a NATO strap and a divers rubberband (all are cheap) so You can use the watch when You get it. Done. Gen on the left - Rep on the right

  24. Well I can only speak for myself, but I didn't, I don't, and I don't or so I've been told ... Rides a bike and takes public transportation = no job, no money and lives with parents. Does that blanket generalization work for you? Some of us just happen to make enough money to have nice cars, and enjoy driving them. Some of us actually need cars to go places because there isn't public transportation or using a bicycle isn't practical. In addition to being a watch guy, I happen to be a car guy too for much the same reason. Awesome bits of machinery and I love the aesthetics of beautiful designs.
