After a hard week, it's time for a little R&R on the beach at Ocean City This weekend... Hoboken!

The never ending story but I'll cut it short for you: - case and caseback from a gen 162xx Rolex heavily modified by Akira (thanks F!), based upon a precise outline of LHOOQ's (thanks M!) gen 1016. - bezel from Jmb (who else?) *thanks J!*. - gen Superdome. - gen dial (thanks Denimhead!). - gen 2824-2 - gen tube and crown. - TC's legendary submariner hands (thanks T!). I've been trying to fit a set of gen hands on this but the cannon pinion is too big, I wish I could source a gen 1520/30 but I'm told that it won't fit inside the 162xx case. Not a big deal but you know... I guess this is as far gen as I can go with this here build, but I'm far from done trying to achieve the perfect 1016....

It is the only option for repair. Only other thing you can do is eliminate the screw down part and shorten the stem so that the crown sits flush to the case in winding position.

not a fan. whats all the fuss about this dial? not trying to be a d*ck about it, but if you're gonna drop a comex dial in a build, you better be sure its a good one because I ( and mind you I am no expert ) could spot that dial from a mile away

Getting some more input via pm guys but everyone's views are more than welcome the more the merrier post on the thread though so that we can all have input on this. I hope that some noobs have been reading the list today, if so could any of them comment, so we know the thread is working for them and is a useful exercise I'll do my best to update the list with James on the other RwG asap
