All of the trusted dealers are going to sell similar versions for around the same price... A has them for $318, with an Asian 7750 and gold wrapped mid-links. They are not perfect at that price, not even close. The gold wrap will be more durable than the gold-plate which is $90 less. It will be needing a service when you get it to ensure it is free of the usual skin debris and pubic hair, as well as properly oiled. Find yourself a local rep friendly watchsmith to do that job for you, you may get lucky and find one by reading the forums. The price will probably add another $150-200 to the cost. Then you will possibly have a semi-reliable, imperfect copy of an 116523 for an investment of around $600, that you can resell on here for $200 when you tire of it and want to find a more perfect copy.

Well the one on EBay definitely fits your criteria. I believe that what a lot of folks don't realize is these were really tool watches. the Doxas and even some early Blancpains were sold in Dive shops, not Mall stores or a watch boutique or jewelry store. The guys that bought them were divers, and most of them got beat to hell and back. I bought mine from the daughter of a guy who was a commercial diver for the city of San Francisco for about 25 years. I'm sure if mine could talk, it would have some real tales to tell!!

So I finally got a ST case. I swapped it out yesterday, and something botched in the keyless when I was putting the stem back in. I must not have been completely straight. So last night, I start to tear it down and it completely stops. Frustrated, I just tore down the whole movement and cleaned it up. Got it all back together today and seems to be running fine. While I had it apart, I took the opportunity to darken the hands a bit to try and match the indices. Thanks to Nanuq for the tips. It has the TC bezel on right now, as I'm waiting for the ST assembly that misiekped did me a solid and ordered for me. As has been stated before, the TC bezel is too loose on the ST retainer and tends to slip on the bezel spring. Its wearable, but will be much better when I get the right one.

Update: Found a couple of 1030's. Plan to make a decision and purchase in next couple of days. Have a vacation planned for mid May. Hopefully this baby will be going with me. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
