  2. Helllllllo all, sorry that I haven't been as active lately, work was getting crazy and then I took a short vacation. I just got back though to a parcel waiting for me, and I could not be happier. As some of you know I have been obsessed with big crowns for a long time and one of the models that I'm most obsessed with is the 6200. There's something about the 3-6-9 dials and A series movements thats very appealing, but they all had those super long hour hands that I was never able to find.... until now!! Phong has stainless ones that I will have to have gold plated to mimic gilt and relumed (Gen gilt hands were actually gold leafed not plated but that's the best I can do!) This is just the start, I also have the Gen dial plate sourced and am presently waiting for it to be redone, I guess the only thing I'm missing now is the a296 movement and a stem that fits an a296 and 8mm crown with a 1.1 mm thread...

  4. I ordered this this morning. My first go at this. They have been very helpful so far and providing me the hand holding that a new guy may need! http://www.pure-time.com/product/seamaster-chrono-diver-ss-blue-dial-on-bracelet-a7750/ Excited! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. What a great collection of beautiful watches today, gents! I mean every 1 of them. Well done, guys. Even a rare appearance of 1 of eunomians's gems. Nice. Ending the work week wearing this old clunker

  6. Beautiful all, that Seiko sure is a classic... You should look at those super jubilees for it though! Great to finish the SKX's off.

  7. Just realised the strap I got from Pete for my Fiddy bares a stricking resemblence to the leather/stitching combo in my car :-) AJ

  9. It's definitely a rep but it could be a swiss movement in there. The hour marker surrounds are too thick. The bracelet reference number is wrong and the LEC on the crystal is too visible. Crown guards look a bit chunky as well. If it keeps good time, enjoy this classic looking watch!

  11. But I would like to say that you are not on the right place. This is a nice forum for friendly people who appreciate each other and respect each other, no matter what kind of watch you wear, how many cars you own or how much money you make. So if you would be so kindly, get your ass out of here.

  12. Hi. This is your captain speaking. Been an awful long time down in the basement and as things are in my personal life, I am afraid I will spend most of my time down there, being your "wrench monkey" instead of being able to participate in watch discussions. The fact is that 3 days ago marked the 9th birthday of this forum. At least that was the day that we all moved from the old RWG and created our new home here. A lot of water has passed under the bridge in these years and we are now over 60.000 members and have more than 1,2 million posts. A lot of things has happened in the internet world also, technology wise and the forum software that we are using is facing a major upgrade. I am in the middle of testing out the upgrade as we speak and trying to prepare all files, databases, servers, etc for the upgrade, so that it will take place as smooth as possible. I just want to warn you all that the new software will introduce some major changes to the forum. It will also mean that a great deal of the "extras" we have installed today, will most likely not work until developers hopefully create new versions of the extras we use today. It will mean a new look, new buttons, new places for things you have been used to find in another place for a long time now. But the upgrade is needed, for many reasons; One of the major reasons is that I hope to be able to integrate the upgrade function into the forum software again. It hasn't been easy after I was blacklisted by PP and they closed ALL of my accounts (personal, personal business accounts, etc). but the "hidden" solution that is in place now has been working fairly good. Not going to make this post any longer than necessary, but just wanted to give you a heads up that there will be some downtime soon due to this. I will get back with more details as soon as I know when

  14. Hi Joe, Look for the thread from last year discussing Eta and Asian clones. The short version is that we rarely see Swiss ETA's in new reps. Even when paying for the upgrade it is usually a clone. I do not have experience with the 2813 but I do with the A2836 and have had decent results with them. I would not pay for the upgrade for swiss as it most likely will just be a clone anyways. I would probably check other dealers or look for another DJ model that has the A2836 as an option. Last 2 that I "upgraded" to Swiss Eta had clone movements so total waste of money. Other option is get the least expensive movement and source a gen Swiss ETA and put it in. 15. Why not get the MBW version -- everything fits, and they hold their value. Bill
