  3. My friend sold me his old Davidson. I like the dial of this watch. Today, this version of the replica looks worse IMHO. I'm just going to show you these photos.

  4. Gens, i made some quick comparison on PAM127 V6, ZF and gen. In my opinion, both reps has many flaws. Which one is better for you, you have to decide. ZF font is too thick while V6 font is too thin. CG spacing in both reps are larger than gen CP better on V6 Distortion.. well it very much depend on camera, lightning and so on,but reps both are very similar and gen has less distortion L SWISS letters are more accurate on V6 but still it could be different angle, but i check that on few pics and V6 seems to be better Lume collor is wrong on both but V6 has more closer color CG engravings both are wrong but more accurate is V6 CG pin is wrong on both (don't have to be polished), but V6 has it in center CG lever also wrong on both , but V6 is more correct, but still needs reshape Minute hands are wrong on both but ZF is more correct here On the back Bots reps cases are incorrect shape. On lugs too, so needs reshape regulator on movement is wrong on both reps, but +/- engravings are better placed on ZF So to my own opinion, both reps are great, but both has many flaws. But they are small and probably visible only with gen piece compared in one hand. Piece!

  5. Team, I know the Tissot Powermatic 80 from Tissot SeaStar 1000 will drop into an AP Diver for an easy upgrade. I believe that is documented here in a few threads. I also see Certina offers a Powermatic 80 movement in a few of their watches. Will the Certina Powermatic 80 movement, which I believe is the same as the Tissot except for the rotor decoration, work in the AP Diver upgrade application? I ask as I think it is more economical to find and cannibalize a Certina vs a Tissot by about $200. I reference this write up with pictures to clarify my point. http://www.gmtminusfive.com/the-certina-ds-powermatic-80-a-perfect-entry-level-automatic/ And the Tissot http://www.ablogtowatch.com/tissot-seastar-1000-powermatic-80-watch-hands/ And one last, perhaps, simple question. If the Powermatic movements are the same in both watches, does it matter that the date wheel is at 6 in Certina vs. 3 in the Tissot? I imagine it does not matter since the watch smith will swap date wheels with the AP. Please let me know your insight on this matter.

  7. I just ordered one from toro. If I do not like it I will ping you. It is a v7 with a bracelet and I ordered the rubber strap with connector links.

  8. Notice also the case differences between the 6536 and 6536/1 ... they take different crystals too. Here's how the chapter ring looks on a 6536/1.

  10. These are the v1 version of the TC hands. I don't mind the length, but would probably upgrade if a proper length hand was readily available.

  11. I'd say about 1mm longer than a 5513 minute hand. Here's how 5513 hands look on my 1016: If that would have been 1016 hands they should just have touched the minute hashes. To me this is no big deal anymore. See so many 1016s for sale with replacement sub hands. But would of course be cool if there was a source for aftermarket hands!

  12. Mine cost over 3k and it has genuine movement(1570), crown/ tube, insert, pearl, bracelet and end links. My case is an older MBW that cost me 250.00 for the watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
