  1. I feel you and you are right, however, it's a fun thing, I like doing it and it's not like I want it to be my main job. I'd prefer to sell to the fora only tbh. I could not find any strapmaker meet my requirements so went for it myself.

  6. Hey guys! Thought I'd chime in since I'm Crown & Skull And you may know me from other forums. I just got clued into the JF vs. Yuki movement recently and I have a JF Yachtmaster incoming. So the story with me and Yuki is that I started buying his movements in bulk to preservice for forum members. Takes all the risk of them getting a bunk movement and I can ensure parts aren't broken and they're working properly. Recently he's asked me to be the main seller as he's not set up to service them ahead of time. So that's where I come in. As for this recently development.... it doesn't look good (for me). Until I get one in my hands I won't know for sure, but damn if they don't look identical. The biggest giveaway between the Noob SA and the Yuki was always the balance and winding bridge. The slot for the hacking mechanism is crooked in relation to the engraving vs. the Yuki and gen which is 90 degrees to the engraving. But even bigger tell is that the hairspring on the Noob SA is wound in the opposite direction! The Yuki and JF both have the hairspring terminal on the opposite side of the regulator vs. the Noob SA. I gotta say, if this is true it'll be a huge kick in the nuts as I was paying damn near that for a single movement BEFORE servicing Anyway - I'll post a full breakdown when I get my Yachtmaster unless one of you fellas beats me to it. Thanks.

  7. Today I would like to show you my New 5513. Yes again a 5513 .... But this has one speciality as i think not see before. Let's start with the base. For the Case i used a Cartel 1680. The basic Watch was as good as new. I know the case has not the right reference number engraved, but I do not care because it is worn on the steel braceled. The case became a strong reshape of the lugs and crownguard. The crown and tube were exchanged. The crown is TC and the tube was still lying in my mint. The lugs were drilled for gen springbars. The Plexi is a rather flat version, I find it more beautiful than the domed original Plexi manufacturer unknown. Now to the dial . I buy from a friendly Member this refinished/ painted dial . The dial was also quickly from Uk arrived and I could start immediately with the relume. This was necessary because the yellow dots I did not like, and i love lume shining . Unfortunately (as always happens with the special things: -0) the first layer has turned out to be too dark gray.So i relumed again .... next default....on the ultra-sensitive surface was a scratch . This did not go up to the Metall but only the matte surface shined .... also around the dots it shone easily .... thats was not very nice... so radical solution. I panted it complete with clear lacquer matt .... Result was perfect. The beautiful gen like hands and pearl were matched with the lume. The pearl was handmade by me and filled with lume. Now to the Movement . Here comes the special. Here is a standart Eta Clone. The complete date circuit was expanded. This created the right place ... The dial had feet for the gen movement Thats i wont to cut it off. So I dismantled till the base plate. At the place where the feet are located i drilled some holes for the dial feet.Than i assembled the movement . Unfortunately, you can apply this trick only to no date because otherwise the datewheel disturbes .... The braceled of the 1680 reworked and drilled to the gen springbars. I hope you like the watch Here with her children... Gesendet von meinem Sony Erricson K750I Gesendet von meinem Sony Erricson K750I

  8. Just thought I'd say hi! Got my feet wet in the other forums but am happy to find RWG. I own Crown & Skull Watchworks and have been providing serviced Yuki 3135s for over a year now. My interest in reps goes beyond the aesthetic and is more in the technical/mechanical. So I'm thrilled to have found a lot of members here who feel the same. Looking forward to contributing! CS.

  11. I remember that thread, I wanted those parts, but couldn't find the money at the time. Anyway for what it is worth, here it is, it was withdrawn but if he would part with them I know they would have a good home with you. https://rwg.cc/topic/186002-withdrawn-high-end-milsub-parts-dial-hands-bezel/#comment-1483819

  12. MQ is worth checking out for a high-end dial: http://vintagewatchesmq.com/minhquy/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=800&category_id=146&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 There are no accurate inserts. There is one from Helanrou with serif numbers, however they are too small and the quality of the insert material itself pretty poor. Here's mine with an ETA 2836 movement next to s gen. They dial was from Ingod44, unfortunately no longer in business.

  15. Sorry for my terribly belated replies to all of your questions. I am quite busy at the moment but will try to come back to you asap. Attached is the requested lume shot. Standard JF, nothing fancy. I am in this 3135 game since the first SA3135 were released and offered by Puretime. I believe that was in 2011 or 2012. I bought one of the very first SA3135 in a 16610 LV, terrible rep, terrible movement. The SA3135 as still used today by noob factory has a completely different cosntruction and first versions didn't even accept gen hands (hour hand was different, minute and seconds worked). The reversing wheels in these movements are a multiple piece design with a red top plate and the actual wheel being silver (see hologramet's pics!). The red top plate holds several jewels inside. At least on the first batch of SA3135 this red plate was friction fitted to the actual wheel below. The friction fitment was too lose and would come off in normal use, spreading all the tiny jewels inside of the watch. Not a single part was interchangeable with the gen 3135, not even the stem. To make bad things worse the stem was very weak and would eventually break in normal use. After this experience I decided to not even try later SA3135 iterations. This is the movement that Noob is using still today, however with minor changes like a stronger stem. Then Yuki came up with his 3135. Except for escapement wheel, balance wheel and a click spring in the keyless works everything was to genuine 3135 specification and allowed for using genuine Rolex 3135 parts. Gear train, main spring with barrel, keyless works, minute pinion, hour wheel, everything just as gen. I've bought three Yuki 3135 in total, used one in a Sean Case, one in a TC case and sold one movement again. The Yuki movement isn't bad once it gets serviced. Out of the box it is dirty, greasy and not in working order. One day the availability of the Yuki 3135 got increasingly difficult and soon JF showed up with their SA3135 V2. I've bought a few of those in the meantime, one to check it out as an alternative to the non existent supply from Yuki, one I converted to no-date (using gen parts!) and putting into a 114270 Explorer and one I used in a Sean Yachtmaster case. Except for the engraving it is the same movement as Yukis. Again, everything is interchangeable with gen 3135 parts except for this one single click spring in keyless works, escapement wheel and balance wheel. Quality is the same and just as Yukis they come dirty and greasy from the factory. Obviously there are two different factories producing different 3135 clones. One being a real clone (JF and Yuki) and one replicating only looks and dimensions (Noob). These movements shouldn't be confused with each other. Saying that Yuki is offering the only 3135 clone accepting gen parts and stating that any SA3135 from the rep factories is a different movement than Yuki's is wrong.
