Hey all just checking in with an update. Got it back up and running smoothly. End conclusion what that the movement was loose in the case (movement ring was not a great fit) and therefore making changing the crown positions challenging/problematic. The running backwards I think was caused when the crown wouldn't be able to be put back into normal position and was jammed somewhere between time set and calendar set position and this being a non-hacking movement caused the reverse run. Anyways took it apart and found the calendar wheel and day wheels were rubbing also on the back of the dial so I chose to leave them out during the reassembly, figured flaking paint and the friction was not a nice thing to have going on inside :). Also installed a hacking lever after talking with Philosopher. Anyways here are a couple photos as we all love pics!2 points

Micro Review by DrGran Ordered: IWC0339 - IWC Pilot Chronograph Ref.3777 SS/SS Black V6F A7750 from Trusty Description: V6 Top Edition in SS Bracelet! This is V2 Edition Special Upgrade! At first it seemed it was not from V6 factory as decribed, but rather from the ZF factory....... ...but Trusty assured me it is indeed a V6 and that they just put ZF QC stickers on it as they have these lying around. Rep of a rep situation!!! Very odd, but its the replica jungle and who knows!? Now the 3777 10 watch: First impression is that it is about the same quality as the best 3777 01 from 2014 (the version with triple date window). AR: OK Dial: OK Hands: OK Case brushing and rounding of edges: OK Crown: Could be better logo quality (more crisp), Crown, tube and its threads likely a weak spot on this, lets hope it dosent strip... AR: OK Lume: Could be better even if it lingers quite some time (not worth taking the photo) Bracelett: Correct type (and it is different from and more masculine compared to the 3777 01) Clasp and IWC engraving: OK and deeper engraved IWC than on my previous one Microstepper: OK Caseback: Looks very good and engravings deep enough Movement: I have not opened the caseback but it runs on time for the 2 days I have worn it, the reliability of Day and Date change might be an issue.......its a replica Wristshot: Conclusion: This 3777 10 is gen-like to me. This is the kind of watch I like. I find the bracelet comfortable. This will likely become the watch that I will wear often. My daily beater, if it keeps running on time. NB! My very handsome 3777 01 replica from TORO in 2014 for comparison. Notice the triple date and the different style bracelet (this watch will be sent off for service soon):1 point

Maybe you've seen this one before you think. Well almost. I had a 5512 PCG on MBW-base that I finished with help from Rolojack about 6 months ago. However, my friend liked it so much, and I had a spare 7928 dial, so... This is the sequel. The question was, is the Cartel/JKF-whatever a good enough base? Almost. Watch: "Cartel" 7019/7928-ish tudor w/ 2836 = (apox 230 USD - aprox 100 USD sold parts) = 130 USD Dial: Vietnam 7928 26mm gilt = picked it up for about 120 USD, "usual price" aprox 250-300 USD Hands: TC 16613-hands w/ lollipop TigerConcept seconds hand, lumed by Big Daz = 60 USD incl lume Insert: Yuki fat font w/ Athaya pearl, lumed by Big Daz = aprox 70 USD Movement: ETA 2846 = non-hacking and "low-"beat, from donor watch, aprox 70 USD Crown + crown tube: Athaya 700 = aprox 30 USD Bracelet: WSO 580 + Cartel -fixed "93150, with solid link" + BP ceramic sub Glidelock-clasp and remaining links = from spare parts (will be replaced for a Noob v7-clasp) = aprox 100 USD when done Crystal: Forgot, however it will be replaced to a CWP T19 = 50 USD -------------------------- Rolojack did most of the work. I reshaped the PCG's a bit more, also buffed and polished the crown and caseback. Also thinned the bezel in height and flatter, as the Cartel-bezel was not even close to 5512/7928. What is left: - Clarks/WSO 5512-bezel ass. Haven't decided yet. - Drill another Cartel "93150" as the tolerance is so low that RJ was unlucky (of the 4 he has done, only one turned up like this). Anyone has a spare one? Pretty please? --------------------------- Rolojack's pictures: My pictures: ... Not bad for 630 USD in parts cost? Right?1 point

In recently repairing and servicing the new 3132 I can confirm that gen minute wheel fits the 3132. Part number 260. Expensive part but cheaper then losing the entire movement to the SA31XX "no parts available" problem. I noticed a lot of improvements and wondered what the deal was. Glad info is finally coming out. notice missing teeth in the rep gear.1 point

@manodeoro yes well it's a cheap Chinese lathe but functions well, I plan on using a 2846 that Was overhauled, I need to get some decent hands.... maybe some phong or ?, and have a service t-19 that I will install. Adrian's brevet crown tube, had the case engraved and also the case-back I did want to make this piece for diving but the dreaded glued in plexi/ dodgy case construction will probably not allow it so, best epoxy to use ? @alligoat I was just reading that thread! Thank you There has been some recent controversy and much speculation/adult bickering on the authenticity and story on the a/6538 burford dial subs. Spurred me in to open the project back up.1 point

Recently ordered a TC version seven. Doing a little research and came across this. It's a pretty good article about the distinctions between the different models. http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/thread/1225555808/Rolex+Submariner+16610LV+(Lunette+Vert)+-+The+'true'+anniversary+Submariner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

What about the movement? Does it break easy this a7750? I watched a video where the guy said buy a manual winding watch that would last longer. Is that true? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk1 point

Gen dials don't always fit in rep cases. But on my last DJ build I got a rep case from mymanmatt and it worked out fine. And the price for the case, bezel, crystal, tube, crown and spacer ring was very reasonable. The dial from Yuki was $158, hands from Clarks were around $14 and I had the Asian 2836-2 w/ dwo left over from another project. With an aftermarket jubilee, I think I've got around $325 in the watch. Or you could try to get a case off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-60s-Rolex-Steel-Datejust-1601-Case-parts-/191003289444?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c78aee764 and go from there- gen dial- even a quickset DJ dial should fit in this case, maybe a 2824-2 movt, and a bezel from WSO or jandk, gen crown (24-600) and you're good to go.1 point
