  1. Oh yes there will be lots of laugher, I can vouch for that! As we speak the watch is winging its way across the English Channel to our brothers for the Dutch GTG. Enjoy guys. Finally from me, a massive thank you to Andrew at Trusty Time for making this happen.

  2. Hi friends ! After reading jelliotz last build & JoeyB advices, I want to try dial decals print by myself. Rolex 6536 custom build http://rwg.cc/index.php?/topic/182539-Rolex-6536-custom-build Bought decal paper, micro set and Sennelier gloss acrylic varnish. I can't find Krylon Crystal Clear spray in France. Found a good high res 6538 pic and worked it on photoshop. It's a very long pixel by pixel work, and many high quality printing test on photo paper. First decals test printing is good, better than I expected. Bubbles are due to some dust on decal paper sheet. The varnish spray remove the ink from bubbles, leaving holes in print. It's not serious for a first test try. I'll clean sheet before print next time. Here is the result on a dial plate. I think it's sharp enough. More soon... Thank you for reading

  8. Funny, that name is coming up on another thread as a really great TD. I already had my Irish GTG, I was 100% there, so a great turn out. We should do more GTGs

  9. This watch has covered a lot of miles already, but strictly speaking it hasn’t actually started to be passed around yet. MOAB arranged getting it from China, so it had to stop off in NY. It couldn’t safely go US to Germany, so it bounced around a little, but it hasn’t been out of Mods hands yet. Could be great for you guys to give it the Official Launch at the GTG, lots of wristies, lots of beer and laughter.

  13. Indeed, we could use you all going on a recruitment drive. All the watch forums are down on traffic, rep and genuine. Part of it is seasonal, part is the economy - few people seem to have much hobby money right now, but also smart ‘phones and smart watches are no doubt a factor too.

  17. Hah...I'm an almost 50 year old father of 4 kids who lives in a small village with just 800 souls. I have a Mohawk, walk always barefeet everywhere and wear sometimes a Saroong...a pink Barbiewatch is nothing the people around would think looks weird in me [emoji38] ...sent with wooden drums via Tupperware.

  19. Hi guys, Not much going here so I thought I'd post up something new. This is (I believe) a one-of-a-kind build (for now, anyways) 1990 Rolex Air-King Salmon. This is the only year you could get the 3-6-9 Salmon dial with the lug holes case. Since everyone knows I build my own watches anyway I didn't stress over the 36mm case size... Specs? JMB Case set Gen Crown Gen ETA 2824 Raffles Dial and Hands
