  1. Installed a Gen Crown today. I measured the Rep Crown and it is Gen Spec. Same Size and Diameter. The stem must be cut a bit to screw fully in. Gesendet von meinem Mi MIX 2S mit Tapatalk

  2. Also the HE- Valve looks not really as Gen. The Gap between case and crown looks on the Gen similar to the rep. Never seen this before on the Gen. Overall it's a damn nice Rep I think. So will do some more work on mine ARF V2. Will update when the missing parts arrived. Still waiting for watchers Noob V2 to see how it looks after his improvements. Btw the Insert looks better on the ARF in my opinion. Maybe mixing Parts will do the trick.[emoji6] Gesendet von meinem Mi MIX 2S mit Tapatalk

  5. All I can say is that this has been a great thread!! I could not add anything close to what others haven't already done! Thoroughly enjoyed it as it as been entertaining as well as educational as most threads are on this forum. This filled a large gap of ignorance in my understanding of this particular build., almost enticing me to take up one of these projects myself! As for winter, being a good title for this post, it is one of the cosiest times of the year to fulfil indoor activities such as these ones, which otherwise would always be delayed! Thanks for sharing and enjoy to good Health!

  7. Only chronographs can be Frankensteins IMHO ... other watches lack those BIG pushers

  8. I think not all gen parts and replica parts are created equal. There are some extremely nice watches here, like the Daytonas and big crowns.. builds that cost thousands, yet do not meet the criteria for "Frankenstein", although they are in many cases more beautiful and more accurate than builds with >50% gen parts. In my view, the selection of parts, modding, fitment, and the aesthetic eye to maintain balance and pull everything together in the finished watch, is far more important than counting the number of gen parts. In the end, it matters very little to me if it's classified as rep, franken, genstein, etc.

  9. Very nice choice, the diamonds aren't my thing but it being a 36mm makes up for that. Can't speak for how long it takes to get to the UK but from Trusty I've gotten my orders in less than a week to Australia.

  10. Congratulations. It depends on how Andrew ships it but generally a couple of weeks, although I have known it to be less than a week. Just sit back and enjoy the weather(!) and relax. Don't keep checking the tracking as it will seem like forever.
