Q: Does your gen IWC Aqua has an inner bezel or an external one (eg like this from Eddie or any RX Sub) ? If your gen has an inner bezel then you are talking about a different IWC model. If your gen IWC has an external bezel (eg like a sub) , then I doubt that the bezel on the rep has that function. I believe that the bezel on the rep only turns anticlockwise. But again , the bigest problem on the bezel of the rep is the color and look of it (... it has some kind of funny "water" shades. mixture of black and dark grey , quite visisble, which of course they do not exist on the gen). Note: I do not have this rep since I have so many watches and this is not a priority for me. Everything that I am saying here is only by looking carefully at the photos.

That's very exciting: Screw down yes , Screw down no. Keep us updated. In any case , the bigest flaw of the watch is the bezel's feel and look , and the solution to that is ...... really hard.

You guys you are mazochists !!! I refuse to read this thread further. There are so many watches that I like (especially the FMs and UNs here) that makes dreaming painfull. At the end .... as wel all know ....the rep manufactures will do what they want without considering our wishes. (crying again .... ).

Hmmm ...... , it seems that you have a strange variation of the disease. Not sure that this can be cured. Maybe a medical combo of "WISATRIN" and cheap seiko parts ???

Since we are all addicted to this .... and we need some help...... ... have a look.

You a right on "how certain problems plague certain people". It seems that me and the PAM GMTs arre not well toghether (even though I like this watch a lot). So far I had 2 PAMs GMT (both 2893) from River and on both the GMT hand was out of sync. Both went back. Now the third that goes back (to EL this time). I am waiting to see the forth one. If its wrong again , I will send it back and I will buy a 100 $ Asian GMT with cosmetic GMT function. or even better a cheap 75 $ ore from Silix. Dont know what to say any more .... the quality issue is always there when you buy a rep. You never know what you will get. Its a roulette.

If the GMT works , just say yourself that you have a very good watch. Change strap. That will cheer up things. If still you dont like it, put it up for sale , ...... it will disappear in secs.

An update on my PAM 29. After 24 hours of run the situation has not improved. The GMT hand cannot be set to 00 minutes difference with the main hour hand. It loos like it is "hardcoded" to 25 mins difference with the main hour hand. So its always out of sync. I have spoke to EL (he is a great dealer as always) and he replace it.

Come on guys. Give Gran a break. Gran, with all this story is as visctim as you are ... and maybe even more. How much you have lost with this RWG watch ??? 200 $ , 300 USD ??. He has lost his reputation and maybe some friends. Dont you think that these worth more than 200 to 300 $ ???? On the other hand he has the courage (it takes a lot of guts) to speak publicly and recognize what he did wrong. Is that not enough ??? If you really need to flame somebody , this is BLADE and not Gran. The logic that since we cannot find Blade , we flame at Gran , sounds strange to me. BTW: Who really cares about the old RWG blocked or deleted posts. Many of them were obsolete any way. It will take 2 or 3 more months to refresh them here with new inputs. Of course you can keep flaming at Gran. That's one of the "sad" principles of democracy. .....IMHO

Thanks Rich , I am trying now. I will let you know. BTW: EL already replied to my email (fast and good as always). He suguests (with different words) something similar). I will the watch under test for a couple of days - fully winded all the times. Hope that the lube thing inside does its work (as you said new engine roll out). I hate to have to send it back a watch as beatiful as this !!!!

Well , did I said 20 mins behind ?? Its more like 23 to 25 mins behind. My local time is 14:23. I am 2 hours in advance of the GMT time. The GMT hand (on mine) shows right now "12" (sharp) instead of pointing in the middle between the "12" hour mark (as per bezel) and the " ' " next mark (as per bezel - indicating 13:00) hours. When the local time was 13:00, the GMT hand instead of be dead locked on the " ' " (11:00 hour mark as per bezel) , was in the middle between the "10" hour mark and next the " ' " mark (11:00 hours) I have absolutely no way to get in sync. Changing the GMT independently (one click out) is 23 mins behind. Changing the GMT along with the main hand (two clicks out) it is still 23 mins behind. Am I doing something wrong here ???? As far as I know the GMT hand on the 2893 mov should maintain the relation of the local minutes too ?? Correct ????

I just got mine from EL only 1 hour ago. Overall impresssion: It looks great. Nice detail from EL the velcro strap. Now on the techi issues: - Crown guard lever: loose - GMT hand: 20 mins out of sync with the main hour hand. Watch will stay under test for few days (not even a sec of a wrist time ----- I hate that part). If not improves , I will check it with EL and most likely it will go back. I hate to have a GMT hand that is out of sync.
