  1. Andrew how does this compare to the 42mm in terms of the gen?
  2. Damn that sucks. Talk about irony ... Did the bills seem totally legit to you? No weird feel or anything??
  3. I'd like it as just the round part - I don't need to advertise in my home...
  4. Much cheaper? I thought they were $99...
  5. Thanks Mark - I'll try superglue
  6. That's it! Awesome. Thanks!
  7. I found a very cool website not that long ago that detailed mechanical watch movement disassembly... I thought I had bookmarked it but I guess not. Anyone know of a website that details this with pics?? Cheers
  8. +1 for duct tape Has opened and closed every watch of mine effortlessly...
  9. I pulled apart a 127 dial and it was glued together... after I re-lume it, do I need to glue it back together? If so, what kind of glue?? Cheers!
  10. I just can't picture wearing a diver from a guy that is famous for handbags... lol
  11. Agreed - feels very natural on the wrist.
  12. What he said. Funny enough I sat behind a guy wearing a gen 087 (blue dial) on rubber strap... it was very nice.
  13. You're right, it is...
  14. Your CG lever looks normal - lucky you Hopefully my replacement from EL doesn't take too long...
  15. Mr. Smith I think many of us are waiting to see a prototype before we committ... just FYI...
  16. Nope, no case modding... just service / gasket greasing... josh's version with CG mods is another $100 or so...
  17. Looks good except the engraving... could be the photo, but the font looks wrong... so close to perfect
  18. Those chicks must have solid wrists - I put my 44mm on my wife and it looked like she was wearing a wall clock...
  19. I'd be interested to know how much of that $120 surchage makes it into the hands of the watchsmith doing the servicing (and how much is pure profit), since automatic servicing in north america is about the same price...
  20. V, where did those crowns come from?
  21. I love the description: "This dial is all 100% original except we believe that it has had luminova added to the hour markers by the very best dial makers that can hardly been detected" Best dial makers?? The Zigmeister runs circles around the amateur that ruined this dial... http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-100-orig-vintage...1QQcmdZViewItem
  22. This 4 month wait has been excutiating... hope my titanium one shows up soon...
  23. I agree - my EL 177 is fantasic, with the exception of the CG lever which is too skinny and looks a little weird. New crown, lume, and high pin and this'll be almost perfect!
  24. I too like black best... 7750b1 is a good movement. Hope you have a big wrist (at least 7+") cause that watch is thick and big
  25. Omega chrono has the NEW 28800 asian 7750 which is very good quality... no need to worry.
