  1. That's 7200 seconds per day... LOL... sounds like it might be magnatized... take it to a retail store that uses a demagnatizer on clothes tags
  2. At the top of the page there is a button for "links"... visit it and you'll have your answers
  3. Gorgeous watch - I hope we see the black version soon
  4. Hey Vaccum, where'd you get the C3?
  5. Why not sell your 177h to buy the 036?? Swapping seems like a pain when you can simply sell one to fund the other
  6. I always take 2 watches - my fave rep at the time (usually a PAM) + my Precista PRS-14 for activities (swimming, etc)...
  7. Not worth it - the hi beat (28800) asian chrono is just as good once serviced (about $175 to service)... so it's still much cheaper even after service. The 212 looks GREAT on the wrist and is in my top 3 PAM list... Only thing that bugs me is that some of them don't have chrono pushers and some do (they should)...
  8. If there are any titanium crowns left, I'm in for one...
  9. Gen is about $3400 used...
  10. Seriously, WTF... can we just stop all the soap opera drama?
  11. man the crown looks thin in that ad!
  12. Personally I think you need a 7"+ wrist to really pull off a pam - but as has been said, depends on the shape of your wrist and the rest of your forearm IMO.
  13. So if this isn't the holy grail, what's the closest 111h?
  14. 85L 1.2... a very expensive lens indeed Bought by Thomasng for $600USD ($675CDN) pending funds - once the transaction goes through, if he wants the datewheel can you put him on the list in my place Mark?
  15. Yeah, The Zigmeister missed it and has committed to fixing it for free - so whoever buys the watch can get it fixed when/if they send it to him to have the crown installed... And yeah, I know I'll never be able to replace it and it is by far the nicest rep I've owned (especially on the wrist) - but my photography earns me money, so I have little choice.
  16. That's how much Palp is charging for them...
  17. Hi all - I'm in a bit of a desperate situation as I have to purchase a new camera lens (I'm a semi-pro photographer) for a paid shoot in about a months time (where I live has no lens rentals)... the lens is about $2500 and I'm short of that kind of cash... So, I'm thinking of selling my most expensive rep - the PAM 063 (2893). It's been serviced by The Zigmeister, superlumed, has the new cyclops, a new crown on the way from Palpatine, a datewheel on reserve, an Officine Fireze distressed tan strap, a BOB Vertigo Coconut strap, and an extra crownguard... all told I've paid about $825+ for everything. It has a couple of small nicks on the case (really small), and the GMT hand doesn't line up perfectly - but it keeps great time (thanks to The Zigmeister) and looks the part. Does $550 shipped with the crown or $525 shipped without (the crown cost me $75) sound like a reasonable amount to ask? I'm not really sure what the going price for a modded 063 is at the moment (I've been so busy with work I haven't been able to visit the boards every hour like I normally do Scott
  18. Any updates Mark? Are the 7753's almost done?
  19. good question on the water resistance... tommy will these fit as well as the stock crowns?
  20. Boy, I hope a lot of people buy this so they make a decent swiss movement (or even new asian 7750) version... I just can't get past the white datewheel... any giveaway that is visible from more than 4 feet away is a dealbreaker for me
  21. Looking for a distressed leather 20mm strap for a watch with 20mm lug width... anyone know where I can get watch straps similar to those available for our PAMs but in 20mm width?? I'm not looking for shiny leather type straps (like croc, or that kind of stuff), but something like the distressed BOB below:
  22. I second that. The lume on my $35 alpha sub knockoff from ebay is better than any of my reps... lol
  23. My 2893 (from my EL 063) stopped working after a couple of weeks... but since they aren't made anymore I didn't want to ship it back. So, The Zigmeister worked on it recently (it's being delivered today) and discovered it had almost no oil... so so much for the 2893 being a well oiled movement Well, before The Zigmeister's touch that is...
  24. I pretty much hate all of the ones with silver subdials or big power reserve indicators...
  25. I'd recommend waiting until the next Sony DSLR comes out - it's supposed to be basically a minolta 7D (great ergonomics, ccd stabilization, zeiss lenses) with a Nikon D200 imager and processing. We'll see... Otherwise D200 and 30D are great choices, or if it's mostly a hobby and you have tiny hands a 350D would be great (too small for my hands).
