just got an Explorer II but I'd like to remove the engraving from the inside of the rehaut. Possible? Has anybody done it?

thanks BT- I'm on the hunt for a gen white dial! does anybody know- how difficult is it to remove the rolexrolexrolex from inside the rehaut? Love BK's version, but don't like the writing on the insdie of the watch.

yeah- it's probably the smaller size- they apparently fit fine. Just purchased a new insert- we'll see. The DW is having some issues- it's a ubi DW and not quite flat. I'm going to have it glued onto the ETA DW as an overlay. Should i be worried?

prices are a little high. For those of us in the US- there's a guy in TX that will sell modern inserts for around $70. JewelerTools on ebay- he'll negotiate on price off his ebay listings. Really great guy- i've purchased crowns, inserts and crystals from him.

i just purchased a gen 5513 insert. Holding my breath hoping it will fit. My final build will have MBW case gen insert Gen 127 Gen crown ubi DW yuki dial/hands (vintage relume) gen 91350 w/ 580 end piece i think it MIGHT be finished!

what does everybody use normally for a franken 1680 with an MBW base?

Thanks. if anybody has the correct insert- i've got 2 16800's to sell! Also have a gen 7mm crown, gen DJ gold crown (came out of a 16223), gen DJ dial- prob a few other things that I could trade for the correct movement. LMK!

I've got two gen inserts- neither will work on my MBW case: Gen insert measurement: inside Diameter -- 30.70 mm Outside Diameter - 37.57 mm MBW case: This is an older MBW 'Polex' 5513 case. in bezel for insert has a diameter of 36.6mm The crystal Outside Diameter is around 30mm From these measurements it looks like the diameter of the insert is over 1mm too large and the inside diameter is enough oversize that there would be an unsightly gap between crystal and insert. Has anybody else run into this problem when modding an MBW? Possible solutions?

I've owned gen Pams several times, but sold the last one several years ago . . . but I've had the itch for at least a year. I've been watching the sales forum for a Pam 111, but finally just PMd Marty to see if he had something. Next time you see one of his posts- RUN and BUY IT! His work is fantastic. Perfect flush pin- perfectly polished. The CG is nicely fit to the old school EL case. Very happy and it's definitely going to be getting a lot of use!

where'd you get your DW?

that's a rep day-date DW? I've got a 1680 and DW is the last piece I need before assembly. If anybody has a DW- i'm interested!

it's SOOOO easy to spot as a rep . . . you really should get rid of it. I could find someone to take it off your hands!
