  1. I believe that a sub bezel ring dimensions should be 37mm. Is that correct? 16610 and 16800 model
  2. Does anybody have a black dial?
  3. correct. this is not a Paul Newman. The last lemon dial PN I'm aware of was offered for sale at auction. It sold for a little more than $800,000.
  4. I have a TC oyster on my 16800 franken, but the bracelet is very tight. Are there any diy instructions for oiling a bracelet?
  5. i added a gen autowind assembly and a few other things to my yuki 3135. it's bullet proof now.
  6. Generally reps will fall into categories which greatly impact price. Best out of the box reps will be BK or TC but you will spend over $700 for a piece with a few gen parts. Basic rep with lots of flaws will cost around $300. Any of the dealers listed here can supply. Finally, a franken, which takes a rep and adds significant genuine parts will cost even more depending on the level of modification and the specific genuine parts used.
  7. Mike- you've outdone yourself! Great build. I love the way that dial can change color so dramatically.
  8. Pm me. I think I have another auto wind assembly
  9. I have a similar build but the movement will need service. I added a full gen auto wind assembly and a few other gen pieces, but the finished product is wonderful
  10. If you go modern buy a merkur. Not too expensive and a great tool. For your first I would get a vintage Gillette. Cool pieces and easy to find. Just be sure the blade door is tight and closes evenly. I probably have a spare if you want one. Try a variety of blades. There really is a difference and you are the only judge of what works for you. Try a soap stick from Arko. You will be shocked at the price (crazy cheap) but the product is great. I have badger and goat brushes. I don't see a significant difference.
  11. Started the build on April 7th last year and today I'm finally wearing this . . .
  12. You are saying Mike McNair is the fulll real name of Mike on a bike?
  13. Bezel teeth look beter on the TC! Great build, looks amazing
  14. Yep! Need to find a sub booklet and anchor, and it's finished. Build specs are ST case, correct for 16800 Yuki 3135 with complete gen auto wind assembly and several other gen parts. TC bezel assembly Gen dial, gen hands, gen dw, gen crystal It's got a TC bracelet now, but am adding a gen 93150 Ephry73 did much of the work. Another member did the movement work. Build took a long time, but I think it is nearly perfect
  15. Thanks. Just bought the one listed on vrf.
  16. I've been looking at multipe sources to try to verify which box is correct for an early 16800. I have seen photos of watches claiming to have original box including a moon crator box. Does anyone know what would be the correct exterior box?
  17. Has anybody converted the movement for your franken from 36k bph to 28.8?
  18. Do you want a gen movt for your project?
  19. And it will be at least another 4 weeks. Being assembled
  20. That was one of the easiest parts to find. Called a shop that sells rolex. Had the bracelet in 2 days
  21. $9,200 or so US. My cost is substantially less- 99% gen and interesting to put together.
  22. Check your pm. I sent you a message about another movement.
