I can see the points of the Yes-On-8 folks. If it was just about keeping the term "marriage" to refer to the union of a man and woman, I think that might go over more easily. However, there's an additional underlying religious premise that homosexuality is wrong... and I think that's something that people will never all agree on.

Ok, so maybe we can give gays the same legal civil union, tax benefits, etc. as a man-woman union, but reserve the sacred (to some) term "marriage" for a man and woman? BTW, I'm from California too and voted No on 8.

Thanks trailboss.. I got the Hamilton from a guy on Timezone... $220 and in mint condition, sticker still on the back, original papers from AD dated July 2008! REAL sapphire crystal, REAL Swiss ETA movement, REAL gen quality... at a bargain price. I consider it an amazing value. Only problem is the strap is *slightly* too long for my 6.25" wrist. So I'm gonna have to add another hole or find a short strap to replace it... kind of sucks because I like the original strap a lot. @JohnG-- I wouldn't say I prefer RG.. I post more there in part because the rapid-fire pace of the site lends itself to me spouting my opinions when I see a post fly by that tickles me in some way. If anything I check RWI most often. But I'll start making the RWG2 Bin one of my routine stops... I miss you guys. I kind of miss the ridiculous medication and porn spam threads, too.. lol

Just got an invitation from MGI107 to join the RWG party.. so here I am! How's everybody doing? Anyone have a frikkin clue what's going on with RWG1 yet? Alpha, after taking your advice and buying the Canon G9 -- and loving it -- I decided to get more into photography and I bought a fancy expensive DSLR so I can add all sorts of fancy expensive lenses and feel cool lugging all that sh*t around! So uh.. anybody want a good deal on a practically brand new Canon G9 complete in box? :/ Let's see, what else.. OH, I got a new PVD Sub from fakey... has the red SUBMARINER lettering. Sharp looking watch. Whether or not you liked his presence on RWG, I have to say fakey's a nice guy and puts a lot of time and effort into this hobby.. here's a pic of the new PVD Sub.. AND... I just got a new gen. Hamilton Khaki Mechanical. Very cool, simple watch, and under $300 for a real ETA inside! Here are some pics, taken today with my Nikon D90 DSLR.. I had been looking for a PAM 49 for my girlfriend, but there are no more A7750 ones available anymore, and the few 21J versions I've seen have been pretty terrible. So I asked Hont for the best quality model he could find. As usual, he came through and sold me one that is better than the other 21J versions I've seen being sold by other dealers. My girlfriend loves it, and I thought I'd share some pics... It came with the same rep PAM gator print rep strap and very nice deployant buckle that came with my much more expensive A7750 PAM reps: The rep strap is actually decent looking, but I mounted my favorite Panatime strap on it for a different look. The seconds subdial placement is a bit off, due to the 21J movement being used instead of the 7750, and the date font is wrong and the datewheel is sunken, too.. no surprise. Notice the crown and crown guards are actually pretty good, though: The case back engraving is sharp and deep and pretty accurate, unlike other 21J 40mm PAM versions.. it appears to be the same quality as the "swiss quality" A7750 versions: I also sourced a pink gator print strap from Hont, which my girlfriend is thrilled with... and here is the happy young lady showing off: This PAM 49 is not quite as accurate as the old 7750 versions, but for $110 it's the best version out there for sure. Wow, $350 is way overpriced for that watch! I know it's rare now, so there's some added value because of that.. but when they were easily available just 6-8 months ago you could get them for under $250 shipped (or more like $290 shipped from cartel dealers like I paid, not knowing better!). I just sold one of my PAM 48s, and I have another I'll be selling as well, each in brand new condition, and I'd feel like a greedy pig if I asked $350 for them! I'm also selling my modded PAM 50 (lello datewheel, high mag cyclop), and even that's only gonna go for about $320 shipped. To answer your question: If you want to re-sell it, you could get close to $300 shipped for it... but I seriously doubt $350.

I'll second the 3717-05 vote. The flaws are so minor: day/datewheel font is off (but can be swapped to ETA), seconds subdial hand should be a bit smaller, and minute hand is a bit long.. and the caseback design is wrong for this model (but correct for the black dial 3717). Other than those tiny flaws, it's pretty much spot on.

The black ExpII is nice...... but I have to agree with those who prefer the white dial.

Have you considered a feature-rich point and shoot? I researched P&S and DSLR for a while before deciding on the Canon G9 and I've been very happy with it. For $450 shipped you get a 12mp camera with tons manual settings (and RAW format!). It's not slim and compact.. but it's not as bulky as a DSLR either, so I can take it just about anywhere. Image quality is great for a point and shoot... the macro is fantastic.
