  1. Could anyone tell me which movement this is? Appreciate any help.
  2. Dang he is a cool guy - you have every right to be proud. Looks like he has a tan line from wearing his own watch on his right wrist.
  3. I have forwarded the 'signature/date received' information to the dealer, same response "being patient" The last time I brought this matter up on RWG I was told that I was being unreasonable in my delivery expectations from a highly recommended dealer, followed by a litany of posts and PM's stating "I've never had a problem with that dealer - I'm sure it will work out" Hence my reluctance to mention names in this post. As I have mentioned, direct specific questions in the form of emails to this dealer have 'always' been responded with the same answer. Personally I do not think my request for a refund of my money or some assurance that you will ship the items that I have paid for is unreasonable. I respect the opinions of the members here that think you are a wonderful guy, but I think you are giving 'me' a bunch of BS and I know when I'm getting the run around, don't keep telling me to be patient when the watches were returned to you 3 weeks or more ago. Once again I would like to thank the RWG forum members for their assistance in this matter.
  4. I asked for a refund - none was offered. I asked for that the order be reshipped I was told the dealer was trying to track down the returned items, even though EMS shows the goods being signed for by the original shipper 3 weeks ago ! I have been repeatly told to 'be patient' but to be honest my patience as I'm sure you can appreciate is running out. My next step, by the end of the week, will be to contact VISA and ask them to investigate the issue, which is not my preference but feel I am left with no choice. Although I appreciate the asisatnce with is matter from the forum members you can imagine how this has this experince with this dealer has 'tainted' my impression of rep dealers recommended on this forum
  5. I'm a newbie and I need advise about my first Rep purchase. I have had a on going issue with a dealer concerning order placed 5 weeks ago. Goods where returned to drop shipper 3 weeks go but email responses from dealer since then have requested I be patient. Request for refund has been ignored. My question is, how long do other members wait before they 'insist' on a refund or contact Visa to file a claim. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. My first experience with replicas is not a good one I'm sorry to say. Ordered five weeks ago still not arrived, and to be honest I don't think they ever will. In a previous thread I was told to be patient (that's running out fast) After much research on RWG have come to realize that one don't always get what you expect or is advertised, even a refund which the dealer ignored and I probably wont get. Has gotten to the point now where I don't even want the watches just my money back and move on from there. In the mean time have bought 2 cheap gens, which I'm very happy with. I should change my signature to: Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me.......
  7. You can get them for less than the price shown on the website. Limited package includes extra strap and fancy box. PM me if you want the price/details.
  8. Not sure when mine will come in - apparently end of the month or so........
  9. I just couldn't resist this watch - Limited Edition not many of 200 left - I got the pre-pre-pre order price which was being offered a few weeks ago. Here is the link: http://store.debaufre.com/Nav-B-Limited-Ed...-dw.03.08le.htm Delivery starts in a few weeks...........
  10. Is this the one you mean? http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=564
  11. Yes both watch and strap are gen.
  12. It's TTTuesday so it's TTTag Time.......
  13. Sorry guys had to go flying in US on weekend so couldn't go downtown Toronto to check it out will try to make it soon.
  14. I have decided to step up to the plate and buy the Limited. I have a couple of questions that hopefully members with more experience than me can answer. I'm located in Canada is it best to buy from the German Steinhart site or the US Debaufre site. I only see EU pricing on the Steinhart and the converted prices seem higher than the Debaufre site prices. Personally I would like to see the Steinhart name on the dial. I see several pictures of both on this thread and was wondering if all of the Steinharts are purchased on his site by members who are EU located. Any help before I dust off the Visa would be appreciated.
  15. This is a gen (strap) from St Marteen had it thrown in to the deal when I bought the watch with SS strap, wasn't in stock so was mailed to me recently. Basically a free strap, but I could have bought 10 decent reps for what I paid So I'm not sure if that counts as 'free' or not.
  16. This for Monday - once I change the date.......
  17. The Festina Mambo Chronograph is fantastic - may I ask where you got it............
  18. This will probably be my final post on this subject: The 2 EMS reports do not agree, Canada Post states that no attempt was made to deliver these packages to my address. To be sure I checked with our main import terminal who informed me they have been returned to sender. I also went to the local postal sorting office who gave me the same information but did 'look around' to see if the package had fallen through the cracks and showed up anyway - it hadn't. Andrew has now told me instead of me having to pay additional shipping he wil look in to it. Once again I would like to thank the forum members for there input. KITERPETE [ quote name=zydus' date='Apr 11 2008, 06:52 PM' post='434187] Like I said, i was home the whole day. Canadapost handles EMS, and as per canada post no delivery attempts were made. I just received an email from Andrew. He said he'll check the issue with his forwarder and then get back to me.
  19. Thank you for your email - this is not an issue of customs (in Canada there are few if any restrictions regarding rep's) this is a matter of service and communication and has little or nothing to do with the 'product' - Weather I fork out $3 - $300 or $3,000 I'm not used to being told by any 'supplier' of 'any' product quote If you want your watches to be sent back that will cost you additional shipping' Especially when the website states 'We Guarantee shipment to our Customers' With regards to 'keeping the lines of communication open' I am quite prepared to do this however the dealer is not responding to my emails......... My post regarding no drop dealers was in an attempt to find a seller/dealer who at least handled the products prior to shipment (themselves) who in turn may take a greater responsibility for the transaction rather than the. "not my problem - pay me more money approach" which in my opinion seems to be the way this transaction has been handled. I hope this email clarifies my position and concerns.
  20. Given my recent problems with a dealer (see 'EMS / Trusty' Post) can any of the members give me a list on recommended dealers who don't drop ship....... All I'm trying to do is buy my first couple of rep watches Really appreciate any help that the members can contribute. Thanks
