  1. Not again?....you guys finally have the white house looking decent again after the last time.... Always remember,we are still 1-0..... Thanks Ken,and others....while not my style of watch really (as some know ) its the fact that it is what it is,that made me want it.....
  2. I already posted my responce to this one at RWG1 this morning...only one that did i think.....
  3. LOL... I could be open to large offers there,moneybags.....
  4. Neat watch and boxset that came with the watch, movement fired up right away, like the RWG engraved rotor on it..... Seems like it is still new, plastic on the bracelet....Thanks to Ubi for donating it for the POTR auction and kindly shipping it to me at his cost as well, though i offered to pay those costs first,a true gent..... Nice to be one of the few with a piece of RWG1 history.....couple pics,i should have cleaned the dust off first though....
  5. no matter how good Breiting reps can be,you can tell at first glance when you are looking at a gen.....no comparison,imo.... Fantastic looking watch you have bought, great choice....
  6. Flav over at RG is looking for $7500 for an FG gen.....
  7. The mall is called 'Greenlands' i believe...
  8. Ital. informed me yesterday that the gen Blackbird is out in polished SS now,as a Breitling should be....hope a rep comes available, will look great....
  9. did someone say 'bling'.....
  10. Yes i know,i guess i shouldn't have worded it that way,i just don't like the 'wet cement' look of them, not that they are not accurate.....the first version was great, accuracy wise,i know.... Personal taste added to my post above, anyway, lets hope the skyland is good......
  11. don't get your hopes up high.... Like the SA,and CA,the skyland will probably be lousy..... I hope thats not true and they put BCE quality into this rep....
  12. fakey just took every site he could find that was not a dealer we use on these forums, and made that list.....easy.....
  13. i have no idea what mine is suppose to mean,i guess i like flashy things.....
  14. And the version with the asian movement would be more of the mass produced piece, made by the truck load... The ETA version would be considered more of a custom version to them in china, more time, hassle involved then with the asian version....
  15. What time is it?... Did it come with chieftang AR?..... These are the questions we want answered....
  16. I didn't know you were that type of guy.... not that there is anything wrong with that.....
  17. well,i just had my 100th post anniversary....big noob that i am.... You can stare at my avatar,rasta.....
  18. waiting for a rep rubber strap?.... can't be....
  19. Hmm,kind of similar to Corgi...on the watch anyway.... I had a gen SS Rolex,i was looking to buy a used Presidential,i typed 'gold Rolex' into google and i think the second hit was RWG1... I had a laugh at the fact there was a forum online about fake watches as i had always pictured flea market junk i had seen before, when it came to reps. I joined out of curiosity and was reading all these rave reviews about reps and especially noticed Josh as the dealer of choice,so i bought a rep gold DD for fun really, still expecting junk.... Amazingly enough,it was a great rep,i couldn't believe it....i showed it to my dad and told him it was a gen (he has a gen TT DJ) and he looked it over and was all shocked that i bought this expensive watch, convinced it was gen.... He was so amazed when i told him it was a rep,i gave it to him....he has worn it mainly since (14 months?) and rarely wears his DJ..... Ended up buying around 20 watches my first month (i think we get carried away),found the Breitling brand, got rid of my Rolex.....bought around 40 reps now in total, decided that the fact that they are fakes does bother me,bought my gen SA and here i am today... I have my rep BCE (one of the 6 or so i have bought, lol) as a kicker watch, and my rep 127 as i like the ostrich strap i have for it,good watches for rainy days or when at the BBQ.... The best thing about buying reps is that it helps you decide what you really like in a watch without spending gen dollars first... The forums are great, spend to much time on them, especially RWG1 as its where i started, get alot of pm's from new people to the 'hobby' on other forums, enjoy passing along anything i have learned thus far... Really look forward to the RWG watch arriving, that will be a keeper,it has some meaning.....
  20. Ruby, all you will ever need.... Lesson over....
  21. Given the choice,i would still stick with the numbers....the sticks look cheaper,imo.... probably easier for the rep guys to make a correct stick marker version though.....
  22. Ya,i was going to say the cheapest 'collector' would be Doc,i think he buy's from Silix....thats cheap...... Hmm,i think your talking about dealers... Ruby is tops in all categories....
  23. Its a franken.... That dial said gen to me,the datefont was the give away, the end link gap sure..... somebody went thru some work to make that rep.....
  24. Why did you edit your post Rob,i had a responce waiting..... Nice Chanel,Doc....perfect for you Cali. folk....
