1. Apparently I only buy white Breitlings, so that's my choice
2. A different number to all of the above. Nice.
3. I've swapped hard drives on one iPod (upgrading a 5GB to a 10GB) and the battery on another. It's dead easy and the tools and instructions come with every after-market battery.
4. My first 5GB iPod still runs. I don't get your point.
5. Huh? The genuine uses a 2892-based Co-Axial movement running at 25,200vph, aka 3.5Hz. The 21j movement beats at 21,600vph, aka 3Hz. The ETA movements beat at 28,800vph, aka 4Hz. There is no movement available to replica makers that beats at the same rate as the Omega Co-Axial movement.
6. Is it just Andrew that claims? "PP0044 - JUMBO Nautilus 42mm (So Called MBW) - Swiss ETA 2824" Or are you saying that these are the same as the so-called MBWs?
7. I hope people are taking the time to try these tips. They're excellent!
8. Well, I've not worn this one for a while and TWP just reminded me of it. It's a genuine (but not pricey) SUG Nautilus. It's got tritium tubes and is certified to 300m. Also, these are some pretty damned hard-core photoshop jobs, but if you follow Jiro's tutorials, you should eventually be able to do stuff like this, if you can't already.
9. I'll tell you on Monday.
10. Welcome to the gang.
11. I'd get the IWC. A gen will always be a gen, regardless of if it's repped or not. Then again, are you buying to wear or to put in a safe and sell in a decade for your Son's college? There's always a Sinn 7750 watch or a Chanel Superleggera.
12. I've just found out that he took off from within 3 miles of where I live. I didn't even know he was a neighbour.
13. Still has the stupid Bruce Foxton hair though.
14. I'll have to pull my SUG out of the box for later ...
15. Because it's 7 year old Windows software and I'm on a Mac. I'll fire up an emulator and see what I can figure out, though. If someone else sorts something out first, then I'll give up.
16. Sorry, sir.
17. http://www.google.com/search?q=mbk Seriously, did you read my MBW article? It's all in there.
18. I need to review mine. Yours has a better blue printed 1000 than mine.
19. Or we should not complain if we buy a first release expensive watch because we couldn't wait. If the Aquatimer turns out to be junk, I will not regret having bought it first as it is my choice to be impatient and an early-adopter. So, if you're going to jump on the first big new thing before it's been reviewed, you forfeit the right to complain too loudly.
20. That's exactly what all bezels are supposed to do.
21. It comes with a crappy strap, but you're replacing that anyway.
22.
23. Yes, but the ultra-lite is out. It's $98 and has an Asian movement and Mineral Glass, but is effectively a uPO, apart from that, for under a ton.
24. I have a Watchmeister's overlay spare, if you're doing a 1665 project. Offers considered.
25. I'm going to try to kick the Seadweller today, even if it's an open-six day. I started it on a flat-top three day, see. So, it's time to duct tape a tuna can to my wrist again. The beast of the watchbox is lurking ... So, this watch: But wearing the strap from this pic: Not this strap or bezel though. Here, it's this one.
